Tiger Woods Fool of the Decade

As an African American Woman I have extremely conflicting emotions towards Tiger Woods.  There is my gut feeling that turns my stomach at the way that he’s treated his wife and his family, and there are the sane rational feelings that tell me no matter what Tiger Woods has done he’s the master of his craft and what I should be studying are his mental strengths and characteristics that allowed him to be the Master of the Masters, that allowed him to be the first nonwhite person to ever win the Masters.  These are qualities worth embracing and loving but lately the stomach turning has not stopped.

Daily there is a new story about Tiger Woods character that literally makes me dislike him and think that he’s a rotten egg.  The tales of mistresses are not enough to make me hate him, he’s married he’s a billionaire his wife can have literally anything in this world she wants except the fidelity of Tiger Woods, not bad for a woman that’s gone from working in a boutique and being a nanny to being the wife of a billionaire.  However the manner upon which he conducted his last affair with Rachel Uchitel,  Joy Behar had to apologize to for saying Uchitel she’s a Hooker, has been startling.  The careless text messages have been jaw dropping Tiger writes the following to Rachel Uchitel,

“I get it. It f—–g kills me, too. I finally found someone I connect with…..”someone I have never found like this. Not even at home.”

Rachel Uchitel

When reading the text messages that Tiger Woods wrote to Rachel Uchitel and connecting them with the persona of Rachel Uchitel  my heart takes over and I feel extreme disgust for Tiger Woods.  Infidelity is wrong but when it appears to be with a a woman who looks like she’s done the whole golf team or helped the whole golf course be unfaithful to their wives, my head cannot reconcile me to the genius athlete that Tiger Woods is.  While I don’t believe that hitting someone in the head with a golf club is the right thing to do, and I do think that Elin  should have seen the inside of a jail at least overnight, I do believe the circumstances that led Elin Woods to clunk her husband on the head could definitely be called a justifiably out of her mind moment. Tiger Woods is alleged to have spent Thanksgiving Day frantically texting Rachel  Uchitel the woman above with her mouth on another woman’s thigh, and with the five guys, he forgot to erase one picture and left his “smart” phone at home with a picture of a naked uchitel on it that she had sent to him that day with the full knowledge that it was the First Thanksgiving of Wood’s nine month old and two is such a precious age for  the other  child, Uchitel chose that day to spend it sending naked pictures to Woods while he was at least trying to be a family man, what a woman!  In any event the wife of Tiger Woods become so enraged by the way that Tiger Woods was treating her and over the picture,  she hit him in the head with a golf club and you know the rest of the saga.

The point to be made here is I am an avid twitterer and texting while with a date, loved ones, and people that you like and respect and have taken the time to be with you is so disrespectful.  I have even twittered that the world did not lose much of a man when AJ  or RJ of  The Real Housewives of Atlanta was killed because I saw one episode of Atlanta housewives and observed whatever his name texting the whole time he was at a party.  If I felt this way watching RJ/AJ I can only imagine my feelings towards watching Tiger woods texting the woman above with her mouth on another woman’s thigh and with the five guys, texting her the whole Thanksgiving Holiday.   I know I would want to clunk tiger on the head too because every time I think of the Atlanta housewives episode with RJ or AJ I get really angry that someone would treat someone like that.

While my head still admires Tiger Woods, my heart is just not with him.  While my head says Elin no longer has to hang clothes on a rack or wipe the nose of someone elses snotty nosed children my heart says nobody should text their mistress in front of their wife. Mistress time is mistress time and home time is home time the two should not mix.  Tiger Woods should have shown some  sort of decency in his dealings with his family and all for what the woman who made Joy Behar apologize to her for saying Uchitel its a Hooker.

The author of this post has nothing against divorce and does not believe marriage should be a life term in the penitentiary, but she does believe that when someone can no longer be the majority of the person the other one married they should be honest and call it quits.  I have no clue what Tiger Woods prenup says but if it says he has to give Elin Woods 300 million dollars if he leaves her then he should have swallowed it and left instead of being the FOOL of The Decade.  Elin Nordgram Woods deserved more so much more than what she got a heartless Prince that drove her insane.

Afterword

You know I really love you and I’ve been extremely depressed because we have not been able to maintain and keep contact.  I know or I think you are only doing what I asked you to do but sometimes I have to honestly say I think the barely existent us is a joke, i’d like to know if it’s always been a joke or did it just happen to be one this time.  You are doing what I asked you to do and I am extremely proud of you but I can’t help but say I’ve been extremely depressed since we made that decision.  Anyway if we never never never meet again, firdt we met at the Atlanta Fulton Library, then met up again at the Jazz Festival this May I’d like to say whether it was a joke or not I love you, I love you, I love you I’ve never met a man like you,

BUT

But,  as I got to thinking about my past life it hit me that men and women sometimes don’t see things the same way I may be passionately in love with you when you touch me, when you hold me i feel things that I’ve never felt before but I cant make you love me and I suppose that’s the strange thing about passion and love sometimes one can feel it and the other can’t and sometimes I ask God Why and How can my body explode from the tips of my toenails to the top of my head and the other person feels nothing.

I mean nothing or they only feel it until their orgasm is over.  I don’t know my love but I love you and I have loved you passionately for years but I’m over it the passion has turned to blah and what made me change was the thought of the following experience:

The Story and I Mean the Story

I met Mr. Blank in November the thing that struck me about him was that he was really honest, sincere, tall, and decent looking.  I also did not have a car at the time and he seemed willing to let me use his car when I needed.  His laid back attitude towards life was just awesome and he happened to be well off he told me he used to be a millionaire and would be again and I’m sure he is back on his feet again by now.

While the sex with him was not great he was hung up on technique and I am incredibly turned on by intelligence and he was sort of dense in terms of politics world affairs, the economy etc.  and was extremely narcissistic.    His other qualities made me set the goal of doing one thing pleasing him, squeeze I would say to my self as we made love, move I would say to myself as we had sex at that time I felt my skill as a lover was directly related to keeping him and i was rewarded by lets have sex before our date, then after day after day for several months.  As the months progressed I began to notice everything that was in his life was a woman and done by a woman, a young women and it began to slightly irritate me to the point where I was sick of trying to work with sex to keep him.

Well one night or early morning he hears a knock on the door at about three am.  I hear loud noises a woman crying saying I love you I love you and all he’s saying is get out.  I’m like thinking I can’t believe this.  He comes back in the bedroom says something and its like nothing happened and I mean nothing happened.

We have sex wake up the next morning and its the same drill but slowly I start noticing things a brush, and the biggest thing was oil in  the bathroom like oils you might buy from a vendor in big bottles, I look up and notice burnt candles on the bureau and I know that’s not right.  It ends rather blandly he buys me some yogurt from the store its bad and all I say to him is this is awful he starts to quiver and shake and I’m like oh my God I feel like the ex-wife he told me about he’s literally groveling.   It ends with a rather fierce fight on the phone I have to tell a relative of his a secret  because he has to have someone to talk to and watch out for him.  He finds out and tells me you’ll never get any of this dick again and I’m like OK fine.

In any event I say this to say that earlier this week as I ruminated on how madly in love I was with another human being.  Oh how passionately so passionate that my stomach hurt, that I cried every moment that I could.  I thought about the relationship I had with the man above and how this woman was knocking on the door saying I love You I love and he was literally throwing her out and fucking me without giving her a second thought.  I thought Girl you have to stop this man is not calling you that much, only calling when you call back and never initiating a call after the CONVERSATION.  He cares nothing for you, for your stomach to continue to hurt like this and for you to continue to be passionately in love with someone who’s probably fucking six other women is ridiculous.  Needles to say after thinking about this the affair I was having with myself was  literally over.  I still think that he’s fabulously intelligent, fabulously endowed, fabulously mannerable and we have mad things in common but it does not seem to be happening.  I’ll hang around a little longer because something is telling me to but my stomachs not hurting anymore. Maybe it was just a moment a sweet moment:

Embodying the Already Believing Concept “The Law of Ferrari”

In Black Women Bloggers, black blogger, black bloggers, black twitters, the law of attraction on November 27, 2009 at 9:23 pm

The Already Believing Concept

Ernest Holmes writes throughout the book Creative Mind and Success that positive thinking is not enough when individuals try to live a life of happiness and prosperity.  They must actually subscribe to the concept of already believing.  You must not pray that you obtain something.  You must thank God and the Universe for giving it to you and actually believe that you already have it, this could be called the Ferrari concept.

The Ferrari Concept

David imagines himself as rich successful person with a Ferrari.  After reading about the already believing concept, the concept of actually almost pathologically believing that you already possess what you desire.  David gets into his 1972 Pinto and imagines that it’s a Ferrari.  David really believes that he’s drving a Ferrari.  As he’s drivinhg his Ferrari down the street he sees a beautiful woman in a cherry red convertible and knowing that he’s in his Ferrari and what girl can resist a Ferrari he manages to catch up with her at a stop sign and asks confidently out of his Ferrari if  he could have her phone number.  She looks at David like is this a joke but confidently David gives her a gleaming I’ve got a Ferrari smile and she sees how cute and adorable he is and gives him her phone number.  After this triumph, David decides to get himself a little breakfast, he thinks to himself I can’t possibly drive my Ferrari through McDonalds I’m going to have my breakfast somewhere where my car won’t stick out so much, so David drives his Ferrari to the Ritz Carlton and orders the continental buffet.  As he is sitting thoroughly enjoying the continental buffet David looks around and sees a major director/producer for a movie.  He overhears the director talking about an editing problem with the script and how he can’t find anyone to translate the script from the foreign language it was written in.  Well the director is talking so loud the lady two tables down from David  says shush.  The director guy looks at David and smiles, David smiles back and says I’m sorry I overheard your conversation but I am fluent in the languages that you spoke about, the director is thrilled and says if you can do what you say you can do I’ll pay you $300,000 dollars if you can do it in three days.  David is now officially Ferrari guy, as he walks to his car it wont start the Director happens to be walking out as David is going back in to the Ritz to retrieve the phone he left and David mentions his car won’t start Director guy in a trusting spirit says I’ll take you where you need to go the Valet pulls up with director guys red Ferrari and promptly takes him to his date with convertible girl who is overwhelmed and takes David home..  THE END

The above is Ernest Holmes illustration that it is not enough to hope you must actually have the already believing attitude because with that attitude comes the benefits of already having, people are not always responding to what others have but the attitude that they embody because of having.

Congratulations Barack Obama and The United States For Your Nobel Prize Win

Barack Obama has brought International prestige and acclaim to the United States with the winning of the Nobel Peace prize.  While the prize was shocking to many, if the citizens of  United States would close their eyes and remember why they voted for him they would realize that he deserves and earned the Nobel Peace Prize.  I can not say that I necessarily agree or even know clearly the rationale of the Nobel committee for awarding the Nobel Peace prize to Barack Obama but I can articulate why I think he deserves the prize.

Barack and Michelle  Obama deserve the Nobel Peace Prize for first of all being able to transcend themselves.  In a world that frequently says you can’t and in a country that had never had a President of color The Obama’s said “Yes We Can”.   They said Yes We can and Did.  Barack Obama did not come from a two parent home with Daddy throwing him up to the sky every night,   Barack Obama even mentions that he comes from a home where people may have told him they were scared of black men because he was raised by his caucasian grandmother.    President OBama’s history and his subsequent accomplishments are a beacon of light to every child around the world who experiences controversies and problems in their lives.  The ability of Barack Obama to overcome himself and his environment is a world class accomplishment, Nobel Prize worthy because one of the hardest things for people to do is to overcome themselves.  Many great thinkers have written about this Napoleon Hill, recitations of the words of Jesus and others.

Barack Obama deserves the Nobel Prize by helping to prove to the world that the United States is not full of racists who hate black people and that the notion that an American Dream is possible for all is a reality not a notion for whites only.  In a sociology class I learned about the third generational theory that all European racial groups who come to the United States can meld into the fabric of the United States and eventually become white or plain American, whereas people of color Asians, Blacks, Latinos, were subsequently out of luck and could never really melt because of their race into an American characteristic.  Barack Obama and the United State shattered this myth by voting for him as President by actually implementing the words of Martin Luther King “not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character”.  The various races of the United States gave Barack Obama a mandate.  Barack Obama was not a president installed by force, given to the United States by some International Super Power he was democratically elected by the American people who said that we don’t care about race anymore just someone willing to work for our interests.

As for the significance of Barack Obama post election we the American People seriously hope that he will use the slogan YES WE CAN to solve our problems as well as take the attitude of YES WE CAN to the world and help solve their problems.      As for what has gone wrong with the Presidency up to know, by and large Obama and the Democrats refuse to ignore the voices that did not elect them.  The only way Obama can keep his promises is to ignore the voices of dissension and keep a straight path and fulfill his promise.

The United States of Chicago, Oprah Queen of the World

In Afrian American Twitters, African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, International Relations, Poverty, Race and Class, african american twitters, black twitters, politics on October 1, 2009 at 8:26 am

While the United States faces amazing obstacles that the president inherited from the previous administration, unemployment, foreclosures, bank closures, and social upheavals the president of the United States has demoted himself to the President of Chicago, winging him up is Oprah Queen of the world.  One wonders if the bid for the Olympics is a true desire for the city of Chicago or just a power play to see if Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama can be crowned King and Queen of World Influence.

While Oprah and Barack seek to be anointed King and Queen of the world ie. First Black President of the United States and Richest Black woman in the world , one wonders why the concept of solving very real problems in the city they call home is one challenge that they seem not to be too interested in solving.  Currently Barack Obama seems to be not too interested in solving Americas problems but getting the Olympics to Chicago, just like he did not seem to be too interested in solving Chicago’s problems but being president of the United  States .

The Quest for the Olympics  seems to be very fake and shallow when there are young men and women beating each other to death on the streets of Chicago.

The quest for the Olympics seems to be a facade when a cold winter is approaching and there are  individuals who may not have heat to heat there homes in Chicago or in Barack Obama’s case the United States.

These are problems that effect all cities not just Chicago but these are problems that Chicago seems not to be interested in taking care of.  To the King and Queen of the World the very real problems of Chicago do not exist for they are essentially saying to the poor of Chicago “LET THEM EAT THE OLYMPICS”

Finally the caveat in the Chicago quest for the Olympics is that they are not that major of a city.  For some of the Olympians this will be there first and only trip to the Olympics.  Honestly now where would you want to be in the summer of 2016 in the mean streets of Chicago or on a Sunny beach in RIO.  Ask the fallen flight of RIO to Paris where they would have rather been.  RIO to PARIS. Straight Shot………..

Henry Louis Gates Man Unprotected

The arrest by Henry Louis Gates by police for disorderly conduct after being accused of breaking into his own home is quickly being associated in my mind with incidents such as the Katherine Johnson case where police wrongly kicked the door down in her home after thinking she was a drug dealer killing her and lying to cover the killing up by saying she had a gun.  The profession of police is quickly becoming like other professions where results are not measured and one can readily blame those you are supposed to serve for why there is an extreme need for your services, ie. in some cases educators blame children for not learning when they are given checks for performing the service of teaching.  The profession of policing is quickly becoming the profession of getting a check and doing anything and saying anything to make sure that check is collected and not protecting.

The irony about Henry Louis Gates and his situation is that his door was jammed in, indicating that at some point a real person had actually tried to break into his house and no one was around.   A reasonable human being and police officer would have noticed this and showed some concern after Mr. Gates showed ID and offered to file a police report.  Instead after Mr. Gates showed ID to the police officer, the police officer called for backup which indicates the officer thought he was being handed a fake ID or did not believe that Henry Louis Gates lived there.  Therefore when Henry Gates entered the porch of his home the police charged him with a trumped up charge of disorderly conduct violating Gates Rights to be secure in his own home a fundamental constitutional right.

More and more the charge of disorderly conduct is becoming skewed with a United States Citizens right to protest, with their rights to freedom of speech, and in the Gates case to be able to reside peaceably in their own home.  The charge of disorderly conduct is increasingly being used to substitute for disagreeing with the police which is not disorderly.  The charge of disorderly conduct is literally rendering American citizens to the role of slaves and the police as overseer who have too much discretion to use this claim when Americans may be tired, hungry, and appaled by  the treatment that is being meted out to them by the “authorities”.

Sotomayor for Supreme Court Justice Trojans in the Minority Community

In Afrian American Twitters, African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, Black Women Bloggers, african american twitters, black blogger, black bloggers, civil rights, politics on May 30, 2009 at 4:01 pm

There was a time when minority people understood that just because they shared the same race with an individual this did not mean that these people shared the same agenda or in the least they were allowed to criticize or critique these minorities and what they represented and stood for.   This was never so illustrated as in the contradictions between WEB Dubois and Booker T. Washington.  Prior to WEB Dubois’s death he said the following to Ralph Mcgill about Booker T. Washington and Washington’s benefactors:

“I wish you had gone,” I said . “Joel Chandler Harris was a good man, as were his closest associates.”

“No,” he replied, “it was no use. He and they had no question in their minds about the status of the Negro as a separated, lesser citizen. They perhaps were kind men, as you say. They unhesitatingly lived up to a paternalistic role, a sort of noblesse oblige. But that was all. The status slowly had become immutable insofar as the South’s leaders of that time were concerned. Booker T. Washington had helped them rationalize it. I do not think that he meant to do so. But he did. In fact, he put a public stamp of acceptance on it there in your city when he spoke at the Atlanta Exposition…………in that same speech he implicitly abandoned all political and social rights.”

The recent nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the supreme court and the blank check endorsement of her by  organizations that are for the advancement of minorities is highly troubling.  Sotomoyar has almost publicly avowed in her appeals court decisions that she does not believe that race based discrimination exists for anyone white, black, or green unless maybe you are Hispanic.

The case African Americans should be most aware of is the King vs American Airlines case.  The Kings an African American couple who prepurchased tickets were asked to get off a plane because the plane was full.  There were other non-black individuals on the plane, some who had purchased their tickets on standby and were not asked to leave the plane.    A lower court ruled that this black couple had been discriminated against, upon appeal to Sotomayor the case was overturned and they were directed to file a complaint with a federal agency instead of a lawsuit.   This is clearly a racist attitude towards black people.   In another case a black nurse was fired from a hospital the nurse claimed it was because of race, age and disability.  Sotomayor threw out the race and age claims and allowed the disability claim to precede.  The above cases are an obvious case of a potential supreme court judge who is not for African American individuals.

However Sotomayor is loyal and ethnocentric in her decisions regarding Hispanic plaintiffs.   In a decision involving a sexual discrimination in a case where one Hispanic made lewd remarks to another Hispanic and the woman who was the target of the remarks hit the man who made the remarks resulting in a fight and both individuals being fired Sotomayor prevailed for the plaintiff the woman who threw the first hit.  While the lower courts who ruled against the plaintiff  probably thought that the plaintiff  should have reported him immediately to management instead of hitting him.  Violence in the workplace can be just as harmful as sexual harassment.  The contradiction of telling the black non-violent couple to report their problems to a federal agency and ruling for a violent Latino who initiated a fight at work is clearly a contradiction that should be examined.

In addition , the appointment of Sotomayer by President Obama conflicts with his statements that he was highly disturbed with the disparities in drug sentencing by the government as well as to his commitment to his constitutional law background.  In. U.S. vs Santa  Sotomayor accepted evidence from a search warrant that had been vacated and was seventeen months old.  While some would say that a criminal was convicted and the illegal search should stand this is clearly not what the  founders of the constitution meant when they made the fourth amendment against illegal searches and seizures. I don’t think the writers of the constitution would think that the kings representatives holding an invalid warrant should have the right to knock someones door down.  I don’t have to be a constitutional scholar to figure this one out.

While liberals are rejoicing at the appointment of Sotomayor by Barack Obama, they should be mindful of the fact that Sotmayor is a protege of the First George Bush who appointed  Clarence Thomas and like Clarence Thomas she is Catholic.  Clarence Thomas has been a reliable voice against blacks and the little striving man.  Sotomayor is probably likely to walk in the shoes of Thomas  unless of course if you are Hispanic and Sotomayor may be likely use her Latino wisdom to rule in favor of Latinos; unlike Thomas who has no race loyalty.  President Obama is perfectly aware of the fact that Sotomayor was appointed by a republican and considers it a plus, the other plus he has for her is that she was a tough prosecutor. This flies in the face with Obama’s murmurings that he was concerned about persons of certain races and classes treated unjustly by the Justice System.   Viewing the video below, one wonders what party Obama represents and if he is a trojan let in by those who so wanted to believe that he was the “Black Hope”

One hundred and five years ago WEB Dubois wrote  “The problem of the twentieth century is the color line”  As we are well into the dawn of the twenty-first century the problem of the twenty-first century is still the color line.  It may be a flipped color line but it is the color line and one should always be mindful of King’s words “not the color of a man’s skin but the content of their character”

Playing the Michelle Card Michelle Obama and Black Women

In Afrian American Twitters, African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, Black Women Bloggers, african american twitters, barack obama, black blogger, black bloggers, black twitters, democrats, ethnic twitters, female blogger, politics on May 25, 2009 at 11:02 pm

As we prepare for the announcement of a New Supreme Court Justice the writing is on the wall that though black women have been part of this country since it’s founding there will not be a black female Supreme Court Justice.  The major news outlets refuse to even consider that a black women will sit on the supreme court.   However the big signal that a black women will not be the definite choice for the Supreme Court is the huge cover article that the Obama propoganda machine has negotiated on Michelle Obama with Time magazine, hitting the stands the same week that everyone speculates that Barack Obama will announce a new Supreme Court nominee in essence playing the Michelle card to Black women and those who care for them.

While it is refreshing to have a Black First Lady in the White House its becoming increasingly obvious that she has no or does not care to  have any sway or bedtime influence on her husband as it relates to black women and their position in the Obama administration.  The nonadvocacy of the aspirations of black females in the upper reaches in government have literally been squashed in the Obama administration.  For the first time in sixteen years a black women will not hold a cabinet position in a  presidential administration.

Unofficially from the Obama administration the cabinet position a black woman holds in the Obama administration is first lady.  Never before has a first lady been trotted out and purveyed, what an example to black women, what an accomplishment she got married and managed to not be a welfare queen with ten children.  There is a black first lady which is a wonderful and groundbreaking but I think most people expect it comes with having a black president.

The Michelle card has been played in many ways when it was pretty obvious that Barack Obama had no blood ties with the African American descendantsof western slaves, the connection of Obama to West Africa comparative to being Chinese versus Japanese or vice versa, the Obama supporters shouted out that Michelle was a descendant of West African slaves and his children would therefore carry on that legacy.  African Americans and those who cared for African Americans thought that Michelle Obama was the prescription to the fact that Obama’s descendants were never enslaved and Obama would essentially be stealing the legacy of African American heritage to become president of the United States and to indicate that there was a new Nirvana of racial love in the United States.

What Obama’s administration as indicated by his one black cabinet appointee a position held by this black at the beginning of the Bush II administration is that Obama of interacial heritage and  having gained the right to be president from his white mother’s U.S. citizenship does not identify in his mind, heart, or soul with black people.  Obama is black on the outside and white on the inside and feels no loyalty to blacks.  Blacks for Obama are a means to an end.  This has been a key trait of Obama as politician the strong tendency to bit the hand that feeds him.  This is strongly exemplified in the incident of Obama giving  a now convicted felon contracts to run a housing project in his disctrict  that lacked the very nesscessary ingredient of Heat in icy cold Chicago.  When Obama’s constituents called to complain their calls were never returned.  More on the Rezko deal can be found here.    Obama’s identification with his caucasion side comes out at time with an almost exageratted claim to blackness I have a black wife, I play basketball, I talk slang a self proclaimed wigger is what Obama’s exagerations shout.

In any event the Times article on Michelle Obama at such an oppurtune time can mean only one thing a black women will not be nominated for Supreme Court Justice and if you don’t like it just read the nice Times article on Michelle Obama its so nice to have a black first lady is it not aren’t all of us black women lucky, be grateful for what you have and what you can get righto!!!!!!

Obama’s Possible African American Female Supreme Court Nominees

African American women have been part of the American Landscape since the founding of our country and probably before.  In 1776 the year the declaration of independence was written Phyllis Wheatley wrote the following to George Washington:

To His Excellency
George Washington

Sir,
I have taken the freedom to address your Excellency in the enclosed poem, and entreat your acceptance, though I am not insensible of its inaccuracies. Your being appointed by the Grand Continental Congress to be Generalissimo of the armies of North America, together with the fame of your virtues, excite sensations not easy to suppress. Your generosity, therefore, I presume, will pardon the attempt. Wishing your Excellency all possible success in the great cause you are so generously engaged in. I am,

Your Excellency’s most obedient humble servant,
Phillis Wheatley
1776

George Washington Wrote back the following:

George Washington’s Reply

Cambridge, February 28, 1776.

Miss Phillis,
Your favour of the 26th of October did not reach my hands ’till the middle of December. Time enough, you will say, to have given an answer ere this. Granted. But a variety of important occurrences, continually interposing to distract the mind and withdraw the attention, I hope will apologize for the delay, and plead my excuse for the seeming, but not real neglect.

I thank you most sincerely for your polite notice of me, in the elegant Lines you enclosed; and however undeserving I may be of such encomium and panegyrick, the style and manner exhibit a striking proof of your great poetical Talents. In honour of which, and as a tribute justly due to you, I would have published the Poem, had I not been apprehensive, that, while I only meant to give the World this new instance of your genius, I might have incurred the imputation of Vanity. This and nothing else, determined me not to give it place in the public Prints.

If you should ever come to Cambridge, or near Head Quarters, I shall be happy to see a person so favoured by the Muses, and to whom Nature has been so liberal and beneficent in her dispensations.

I am, with great Respect, etc.

African American women have been nursemaids, housekeepers, teachers, companions, and concubines to slaveowners and their families since the founding of the United States and when some men and women became fed up with the peculiar institution of slavery an African American woman by the name of  Harriet Tubman led the wanting and the willing to freedom.

In the year of 2009 it seems strange that with the women’s movement, the immigrant migration, the gay movement, the abortion activists and all other special interests groups that no one is seriously writing about a black justice to the supreme court.  Black women are being asked to go the back of the line behind the supplemental interests groups.  The same black women who some depend on for their votes are being asked to not only go to the back of the line but to not even attempt to get in the line.  Personally I do not know what President Obama thinks of the issue.  I do know that this is the first time in sixteen years that a black women has not held a presidential cabinet position which considering that black woman are one of the interests groups that determine a presidential election this is disgraceful.

I do not know what Mr. Obama thinks about at night or even how he thinks of black women.  I know that after a dog incident with my neighbors who were an interracial couple the black man of the couple preceded to call me epithets that you could not even imagine whore, bitch, you get the picture and then as my family listened a little closer we heard the white woman of the couple telling him what to say to me.  What was so contradictory is he probably believed these words because one morning as I walked my daughter to her 5:30 am bus one day he propositioned me for sex and my son witnessed this from his bedroom window as it happened. As the relationship progressed between our neighbor and this family it ended with the white woman sending her five daughters over to our house daily for us to watch prior to their moving I felt like an aunt Jemima nursemaid.  I do not know what messages they sent to their children about black women.  Since Obama is a product of a white woman and a black man and raised by a white woman, his grandmother who he openly admits was afraid of black men one wonders what messages his parents and grandparents sent to him about black women.  The messages he perceived and received were definitely different than those of the last democratic President Bill Clinton who appointed black women to his cabinet or those of the last President George Bush who did diversity well and gave a black woman the position of Secretary of State and still managed to satisfy all of the various ethnic groups jockeying for a voice.  It’s sad to say but our first African American President seems to prefer white women and white men as his power team and this is just not what the U.S. has  been about in the last sixteen years.  The Obama administration looks like a post Bush Republican Administration all White and though his color is black its pretty obvious he identifies himself as white.

So while I can not read President Obama’s mind I can read his actions towards black women supported by the media hype and illusion.  There are articles written about the Obama black women when the honest truth is their is not one single black women in the Obama cabinet.  It is also pretty ironic that a black woman former appointed labor Secretary under Bill Clinton manuevered and hee hawed to deprive Hillary Clinton out of votes just so a black man could become president and women of  Herman’s race are repaid with not one appointment to the Obama cabinet.  This is pretty peculiar.

At this point black women and others who love black women  are praying and hoping for a black female supreme court nominee.  At times people are so fond of saying that there are no qualified black women for various things this is why we are relegated to various professions or some can’t even grow but I’m here to tell you there are some amazing black jurists out there who are qualified to be supreme court justices.

Leah Ward Sears -  She is first on the list because she possess the requisite youth.  She also has the depth and the breadth to be a supreme court justice based on her administrative experience.  Her biography is as follows from wikipedia:

Sears2

Leah Ward Sears

(born June 13, 1955) is Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the U.S. state of Georgia. She is also Chair of the Judicial Council of Georgia, the $200 million agency in charge of the state judicial system. When sworn in on June 28, 2005, Sears became the first African-American female Chief Justice in the United States. When she was first appointed as justice in 1992 by then Governor Zell Miller, she became the first woman and youngest person to sit on the Supreme Court of Georgia.

Judith Rogers

Judith Rogers is right in the mix but she’s in her seventies.  I have heard that Presidents look for nominees in their fifties so they can have possibly thirty years of judicial sway.  While her age may not be a deterrent to Obama if it’s not she is definitely the jurists most familiar with isssues before the high court and issues that the United  States is currently facing.  She has ruled on issues on  GITMO and disabilities that have had far reaching consequences and effects.  Judith Rogers also holds the seat vacated by Clarence Thomas upon his nomination to the Supreme Court.

Following her graduation from Radcliffe College and Harvard Law School, she served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia and subsequently at the Justice Department in the Deputy Attorney General’s Office and the Criminal Division. Then, after serving as General Counsel to the congressional commission on the organization of the District of Columbia, she worked for the Mayor of the District of Columbia on congressional and local legislation. She became the Corporation Counsel for the District of Columbia in 1979 and served until her appointment to the bench in 1983. In 1988, Judge Rogers received a Master of Laws degree from the University of Virginia Law School.

Margaret A. Burnham

The Strange Career of Alien Labor in the South

In politics on May 2, 2009 at 7:33 am

As I attempted to drive into City Hall East for business.  I came to the realization that I would not be going into the building because an impromptu slave market had been created in front of city hall and I was not comfortable walking through a throng of men to get to the other side of the street.  It was a slave market made up of individuals who appeared to be Hispanic and I assumed illegal immigrants but maybe not.

I was shocked to see this, in the fair city of Atlanta.  I had seen numerous scenes of cops literally standing over black and white men who dared to stand in the corner of a door.  As a former Atlanta college student who racked up  parking tickets as students do,  I had witnessed numerous vagrants black and white going to jail for standing on the street too long.  I had even witnessed one female judge give the vagrants their rights and tell them they did not have to serve jail time because their rights had been violated.  One vagrant preferred to go to jail, I suppose jail served his needs for food shelter and clothing.  However most individuals do not want to go to jail for loitering or harassed for loitering and it is not tolerated in this fair state unless you are Hispanic.  Atlanta even has signs that say talking to a stranger on the street is illegal.

As I turned to leave the parking lot of the slave mart I saw a black man and said I was shocked at what was going on.  He responded that the immigrants were standing there because there were no jobs.   I went around the corner and spoke to a lady at a stop light and said I was shocked at what I saw, a literal slave market.  She like the black man before her seemed a little peeved that I would ask about the slave mart and said the immigrants are looking for work and the neighborhood was about to go through “big changes” and they were renovating.  I did recall seeing a Sothebys real estate sign when driving up from North Avenue in Atlanta but could not put together a slave mart with a Sothebys sign. I suppose it was an unsaid understanding in this neighborhood of the openly gay, vegan, any thing goes community that American men and women do not deserve a fair wage and illegal aliens did not have any human rights .  Everything prior liberal individuals had fought for was being thrown out the door for a Sothebys commission.  I suppose this is the advent of a new liberalism, an antithesis to the me generation when me literally means the individual and not the overall society in general, me means prosperity not concern for the weaker man.  Yes, this is my generation fortunately my mother was slightly older when she had me so I was raised by a 60’s radical not a disco duck.

As I thought about this and also thought about another slave market that I knew about further North of town, it suddenly dawned on me that while Obama had been comparing himself to Lincoln, ironically Obama is facing the same economic pressures as Lincoln did involving labor,  literal human bodies, that Lincoln did.  I will never forget a passage that I read about in a book called The Strange Career of Jim Crow the passage said something to the effect when slavery was over, white men and black men held hands and jubilantly ran down the hill in joy because they knew that labor was no longer an issue and they both would get paid for their work.  Ten years into the millennium the United States has a labor problem again.  Republicans are not just undercutting the government by sending their jobs over seas but openly gay, vegan, yoga folks are undercutting the government too by refusing to hire individuals who are willing to work for an honest wage or hire a renovation company with skilled artisans. I suppose it could be said if democrats are getting theirs and republicans are getting theirs why should anyone be concerned, it seems like there is some mystical gravy train that is open to anyone who has half of a brain.

As I returned the next day to take pictures of the slave mart which I did not becuase I did not get their until 10:30 and it had thinned out. I went into the whole foods market and had such a great time at their restaurant.  I felt maybe I was being oversensitive to the issue and everything was cool.   While sitting at the whole foods restaurant I did notice that every race was hopping on the cheap immigrant labor bandwagon. I  watched trucks move in and out of the area with ladders, building materials, windows etc.  Again it was accepted that immigrant labor had replaced the labor of men who had not hopped on the capitalist or educational ladder.  There is a new slave class in town and they want it.  How ironic for the south to completely embrace a new form of sharecropping or slavery.  Some things will never change.

While this may seem like a benign issue a way of getting your before someone else does.  The honest truth is that this immigrant labor not bound by minimum wage or other  requirements can only remake the United States into a third world nation.  Either U.S. citizens will join them on the slave mart or they will be in bread lines.  The media is toting that more women than men are working this can partially be blamed on illegal immigrants.  I am not a racist, I am a realist and based on historical factors if one group undercuts another in terms of what their labor is offered for, the other group seeking an honest wage will be eating dirt at the bottom of a bridge.

There is a Sothebys sign on the one side of city hall and a slave mart on the other side, this is a conflict someone is going to pay a Sothebys price for a home but unfortunately just like the mortgage flippers they will not be paying for the quality of labor or for the honesty of labor.  They will live in a house full of negative energy without the knowledge that their home has been renovated by exploited laborers and contributed to honest men enjoying the taste of dirt in their mouths at the bottom of a bridge.

Update: False Imprisonment by Vision Works @ StoneCrest Mall

In politics on April 3, 2009 at 7:14 am

I am suing Vision Works for False Imprisonment as related to the accusation of shoplifting. To reiterate the facts
1. I took my daughters glasses to vision works to be repaired.
2. I left the store and walked directly to my car, pulled my coat off threw it in the back seat, got in the car stuck the key in the ignition, shifted into reverse, by that time an armed security guard knocked on the window and told me he had a video of my shoplifting a pair of glasses at vision works. I knew this was a lie because I had not taken any glasses> I told him I did not take anything. I looked back and was horrified to see that two security trucks had blocked me in.  He insisted that I get out of the car. I was horribly afraid considering I knew that I had not or have never shoplifted anything in my life and I was told it was on video, if there was a lie of this magnitude being told anything could happen. I was extremely fearful. I had been blocked in and prevented from leaving the premises of stone crest mall and told that I had taken something that I clearly knew had not been taken.

I did whatever I could think of to show that i did not have anything because the concept that there was a video of me taking something and I had not taken anything made me afraid for my safety. I knew a couple of cases where people had been beaten and killed in shopping malls by security and I did not want this to be me.

I showed that I did not have their possessions, for this I was charged with disorderly conduct, not only was I charged with disorderly conduct but the very security guards who had made the false accusation and had been shown I did not posses anthing proceeded to take my picture and ban me from the premises for disorderly conduct. If this was not enough after about an hour of sitting around the manager of vision works came out, the police man went into my car without permission and went into my coat pocket where my child’s glasses were and the vision works manager had to admit that I had not stolen glasses.

Even after all of this I was taken to jail for disorderly conduct. The mall security and vision works had the ability to intervene and apologize for the accusation but did not.

The indignities persisted, I went to court and the charges were reduced but when I came months later to get a disposition the charged had been changed back to disorderly conduct. However my attorney had explained the circumstances to the judge and he did not assess a fine and my four hours in jail was the payment and I had been  released on a signature bond because I had no criminal history . If he had not reduced the charges this court would not have agreed to waive payment. The dispositions were criminally changed.

The attorneys who represented me withdrew from the case after from my perception writing interrogatories that did not take into consideration all that had happened to me.

I was supposed to have ten days to appeal the withdrawal of the attorneys from my case. The judge signed off on it after two- three days. What is happening? The United States is about to become fond again of proselytizing about human rights violations perpetrated by others yet at every stage my rights have been trampled on and I am a United States Citizen

It started with lies and false imprisonment by Stonecrest security guards literally terrorizing me on the word of a vision works employee with a lie that they had me on tape taking something. I have an education. I don’t have a criminal record. The lie part ended with the Vision Works employee stating I did not have anything and walking away.

The court system violated my rights by changing the disposition of my case/ The court system is still further violating me without giving me proper time to answer to paperwork regarding my case. Ten days and the judge signed off in three days how horrible. At this point I cringe whenever I hear anyone from the United States talking about the violation of human rights. I live in the United States and I can tell you that I did not have a fair trial because the disposition was changed, my fourth amendment rights against illegal search and seizure were violated because I was told by an armed guard to get out of my car and I had put all of my things in the car. If I would have had anything there could have been no way of proving it by having me walk back into the mall because I had no pocket book just a coat and a wallet that were off of me at the time. This was clearly an illegal search and seizure if I’m in my car.

In any event I will keep you updated,

Race and Skin Tone Among Black Americans A Losing Game

In African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, Black Women Bloggers, celebrities on March 31, 2009 at 6:03 am

I have spoken briefly about race on the blog with the basic statement that as it relates to skin tone for blacks in the United States it’s a losing and a very conflicting game.  The issue of skin tone came hurling to the front of my thoughts this Sunday night while exploring Black Planet’s website.    They had done an article on P Diddy and his casting call request which read as follows:

After seeing this ad two things occurred to me, Brown and Black girls are not allowed and after meeting all of these requests of height, skin tone and color, and size these girls would only get $35.00 and hour.  Looking at this I recalled my conversation with a retired black prostitute formerly married to a retired dead SF police officer.  Wow these girls will give sex away for anything she said, they’ll give out sex for a ten dollar crack rock.  I used to go to Vegas and make thousands in a weekend, she said, I don’t understand.   Diddy’s call and his pay was an insult to dark toned black women as well as an attempt to play all women short in terms of pay and what the going rate for a model is which I hope is more than $35 an hour. The cost of Ciroc Vodka is $30.oo a bottle.  8 bottles of ciroc is $240.00.  I would hope these women would regognize that they are worth a great deal more than 8 bottles of Vodka.

In any event this post is not about model pay.  It’s about race in the black community.

My first experience with race came at an Air Force Base Fair when my mischievous father challenged our next door neighbor to go to the kissing booth and kiss the “white” women at the kissing booth.  Our next door neighbor who was a quiet man who I had hardly ever heard talk was pretty doubtful of the idea but my father egged him and taunted him on so eventually he gave in.  They walked over and kissed the woman on the lips and that was it.

The Fallout

I don’t know how it got back to our neighbors wife but I still can remember her coming to our house discussing the issue with my mom.  I can hear her loud shrill voice saying the following: As light as I am, and she was very light she was about ten shades lighter than a paper bag and could go easily for Jewish,  anyway I remember her saying as light as I am he’s going to have the nerve to go and kiss a white woman.  I’m leaving him.  I then listened to her talk about his very dark family even his momma.  I’m getting a divorce she said and she left him after many years of marriage.

She immediately moved off base and filed for divorce, all because of an innocent kiss with a white woman. “this was an extreme racial reaction probably in response to their private conversations where this man blacker than the silkiest of black cats probably told her in Diddy fashion, baby I love your skin etc. etc. etc.  What probably went through her mind was he wants to go even lighter to whiter and she left.  Diddy’s casting call is essentially what went through this very light skin women’s mind am I black enough, if he wants me this light he may eventually go over to another race.  The very innocent kiss was like a bell in her head.  He wants something else.  Hypothetically but not realistically she could have been right as one commenter on Black Planet stated Diddy has gone from very dark skin women all the way up to white women and so has 50 cent.

The Reaction

80739-82

I suppose anyone reading this may wonder how could someone else’s divorce traumatize me.  I suppose being a witness to everything that occurred could have traumatized a little girl seeing the kiss, hearing the reaction, and watching the woman move out could have alerted me to the strange  nature of race.   However this was not all, this was not all.   The quiet man who hardly ever spoke was so upset about losing his wife and family that he went to his wifes job, the Pentagon, met her in the parking lot and stabbed her fourteen times with gigantic scissors one more stab and she would have been dead.  This was my first real experience with the peculiar nature of race in the United States and it’s consequences.

My first real insight into men like Diddy came with the reading of  ablack woman’s autobiography.  I thought it was Anne Moody but it’s been so long ago since I read the book I forgot the title of the book but I did not forget the contents.  The writer of the book went into detail about what it was like to be black but almost white in the United States.  She said she met a man married him and fell in love with him but there was a caveat he did not know she was black.  She said she discovered that he thought she was white after they were married when he and his friends started having white women black men parties only.  She said she was shocked at the things that she heard black men saying about black women and then when she went with the white women alone she said she was surprised with what they said about the black men.  She states they said terrible things.  The author of the book finally states that she got fed up with the dinner parties and started screaming my momma is black you better stop talking about black women.  I’m black.  The reaction was her husband beat her up and threw her down the stairs and kicked her out the house.

On the other hand as a brown woman I have been the victim of being not light enough and not black enough. Personally the men who love dark skin women are the creepiest.  They make their discrimination ceremonial.  If you are with a group they will have the darker women at the center of attention, and will drip on her every word.  A perfect example is in one of  John Legend’s live Videos he went out of his way to put a darker skin women on this video.  He grinded all over her publicly he treated her like he was really into her and this was the type of woman he liked.  Actually at the time his girlfriend was not even black.

While Diddy may be irritating he said what he wanted and we know where he’s coming from, the really irritating ones are the pretenders, pretend you like very dark skin women and then you’re caught in the corner with someone totally different.  This is so disappointing.

Rihanna’s Assault Sheds Light on Hip Hops Illusatory Power

In Afrian American Twitters, African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, Black Women Bloggers, african american twitters, black blogger, black bloggers, black twitters, celebrities, entertainment, ethnic twitters, female blogger, female bloggers on March 14, 2009 at 8:48 am

Hip Hoppers are fond of imitating Gangsters in their videos.  Some even imitate the Italian Mafia.  However with the recent beating of Rihanna by Chris Brown.  Many are questioning the depth and the breadth of Hip Hops ability to be self policing and in the least have the ruthlessness to control star talents such as Chris Brown who not only harm  his bottom line when he beats up women but harm the whole industry.  Actions such as P Diddy in inviting Chris Brown to his home after Rihannas beating further shed light on the falseness of the ruthlessness facade of toughness and Gangsterism.

If the Black Hip Hop world were truly like the mafia the consequences of beating such a big star and money maker as Rihanna would have resulted in swift justice for Chris Brown such as a broken leg or in the least a black eye.  Instead the woman ended up with the black eye almost fueling fire to the homoeroticism rumours swirling around hip hop artists.  Furthermore Rihannas mentor though issuing lip service to his disgust concerning the incident  seemed to be powerless to do anything substantial before the publicly aired beating or after.  The manner in which Rihanna quickly returned to Chris Brown leads me to believe that this was not Rihanna’s first time being beat at the hands of  Chris Brown.  If this is true this further sheds light on the weak individuals that are in the hip hop industry and are Rihanna’s friends and lovers.   Even if Rihanna  chooses to go back to Chris Brown it seems like someone in the tough guy hip hop industry does not have the balls to tell Chris Brown if you hit her one more time you’re going to be gone from this earth.  It just goes to show cash does not always translate into power.

A southern father in a small town has more power than these wealthy hip hoppers.  In my early twenties I took a cross country trip on the greyhound bus and sat next to a man who had just gotten out of jail.  He wanted to talk and seemed to think that he had been framed by a southern gentlemen because he cheated on his daughter.  He seemed to think someone had planted drugs in his car and sent him off to jail for three years making Bob Barker shoes.  Whether this story was true or not this Southern Father did what it took to defend his daughters honor.  In the meanwhile hip hoppers are getting Prissy on the runway and kissing each other in the mouth.  You know who you are.  They seem to have forgotten who the girl is.  Are they beating on women to indicate to their secret lovers that the straight life is just a facade.

ei: Did Clinton sabotage a Palestinian reconciliation?.

Clinton has just stated the U.S. wil not recognize the elected Government of Palestine.  This is very disturbing Hammas is not going to back down, what is this saying? The U.S. will support a civil war in Palestine.  This appears to me to be nonproductive saber rattling to me.  The Obama administrations seems to be advocating more of a pro-israeli attititude than the Bush administration evr advocated.  I don’t know maybe they paid her campaign debts off.

It’s International Sex Workers Day (Better Paid than Not)

In African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, Sex, female bloggers, human rights, politics, relationships on March 3, 2009 at 8:13 pm

I just found out on twitter that today is International Sex Workers Day.     This is a day where sex workers protest for acceptance and the right to make a living without harassment as a sex worker.    I was going to write something long and detailed on this issue basically saying what’s the difference between someone who goes and gives it to a different man every week  and someone who gets paid for it.       In the absence of true love and affection between two people does it really matter whether its a free one night stand or a paid business arrangement.

During the Elliot Spitzer incident last year I blogged and linked to articles related to this issue.    You know I blogged last year that there is a lot of hypocrisy going around.  The Republicans are hollering about babies born outside of marriage yet the daughter of their VP candidate had a baby outside of marriage, yet one of their speakers of the house Newt or whatever his title was has been married to three to four different women that in the case of the last three he got them pregnant before he even married them. He had three shot gun weddings and his shotgun weddings were divorcing one wife and marrying another, in the case of Rudolph Gulliani he married his cousin, his cousin and stayed married to her for sixteen years and had an annulment an annulment and immediately married another woman who he had children by and then while married to her proceeded to move his mistress ,now wife into the government mansion he was living in; and finally Rush Limbaugh, a reformed drug addict of two years is trying to make the claim that he’s the head of the Republican party.  And all these people have to do is hate on innocent women and children.  This is so sad.  Legalize Prostitution, these women are claiming that they can reduce the risk of AIDS.  :)

Here are the Spitzer posts that I wrote last year on prostitution:

Phillip Tracy Smith Stop The Negative Comments to My Blog

In African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, Black Women Bloggers, black blogger, black bloggers, child support, family, female blogger, female bloggers, politics on March 3, 2009 at 1:25 pm

Hello Phillip recently because of you I had to stop open comments to my blog.  This is something that I don’t believe in.  I believe that anybody who wants to comment can. However I had to delete your comments because they were so full of lies.

In addition your wife proceeded to make comments also,  by that time I was holding comments for moderation. Because of this your wife’s work url was revealed.  If you all continue to write negative comments to the blog.  I will have to fax the comments to her employer and request that their employees cease commenting to my blog. Furthermore in your wife’s comment she mentioned that what has to be paid is such a small amount.  If  it’s so small then why don’t you pay it.  It’s not so small now since you’ve missed 4-5 months though.   ” PAY IT”

With that said I am releasing comments to no-moderation because frankly I don’t want any-ones information emailed to me. I want people to be able to make totally anonymous  comments.

This started because Phillip Smith you have not paid child support.  You have not paid child support for the last 4-5 months.  No one seems to care that you have not paid.  Usually by now a court date would have been established like it has been for the last several years but this year someone has dropped the ball and is letting you get away with not paying.

I find it rather strange you are not paying.  Your daughter in San Diego is now 19 and you no longer have to pay child support for her so you should be able to handle this child support payment to your son.

If individuals are looking for background on this issue, please refer to this blog entry

Furthermore Philip Tracy Smith I left a message with your mom that your son had Pnemonia two weeks ago and noone from your family could call and see if he’s OK.  This is pathetic that you can comment to my blog but you can not enquire about your child.  Let’s refer back to what your mom said when I met you she said you were a nice guy and asked me to please be nice to you.  Your family can’t even inquire about a child with their blood, yet they are asking a 23 year old women to take care of a 43 year old man.   This is disgraceful.

Furthermore, when your son was ill when he was little my mother was at a supposed friends house and she said you called this friends house who you had met at your sons christening.  I did not believe her until I saw where your wife worked.  I know this friend has gotten jobs at this place for many of her relatives especially the ones she pulled strings for to get them into  undergrad and then medical school after they flunked out of a famous military academy.  So if you see this mutual friend tellher I said hello becsue I’m pretty sure she pulled the strings to get your wife this job.

U.S. May Boycott U.N. Racism Conference Over Document – UN Accuses Israel of Being Racist

U.S. May Boycott U.N. Racism Conference Over Document – washingtonpost.com.

If the shoe fits wear it.  Israel has behaved terribly towards the Palestinians, kicking them off their land, out of their houses, bombing and killing them and creating an extremely unstable situation for their lives and the lives of their children.  In the least a dialogue should be had by the U.N. exploring the actions of Israel not just towards the Palestinians but towards Lebanon also.

Everyone understands that the Palestinians have shot over a few harmless missiles over the fence with a minimal loss of life but nothing justifies the mass murder of hundreds of people that occured late last year.  I understand that the issues the U.N. wants to discuss are from before this year but surely the actions of Israel last year should be discussed and evaluated also.  Is the administration refusing to attend this conference because of the high net-worth donors in the Jewish community.  Even now some do not understand the Crucifixion of Christ, I personally do not understand the Crucifixion of the Palestinians.  Hopefully the United States will not stand by and advocate the annihilation and genocide of the Palestinians.

Rush Limbaugh Study to Show Yourself Approved

In International Relations, Poverty, Race, Race and Class, The Economy, conservatives, economy, employment, politics, republicans on March 1, 2009 at 11:06 am

You know I was sitting here thinking about Rush Limbaugh and his attitudes towards liberals and their efforts to in the least give lip service to helping American citizens in need and at most provide assistance and relief to United States Citizens of all income groups and I could not help meditating on Limbaughs profound misunderstanding of National and World Affairs.

The first thing that  kept going through my head was the international food crisis that is factually sweeping the world and how smart our government has been to plan for the poor, for the poor are always among us and always will be among us.  I also thought about the base of the Republican party blue collar religious individuals who are in desperate need of the programs and resources that the Democrats are proposing to help them.  Rush’s solution that tax cuts will create jobs and resources for this blue collar base is frankly ludicrous.  What Rush is failing to realize is that the world is increasinglya competitive world, an increasingly capitalist world, and captalists’ are playing on the international playing field not the National Playing field.  The only way to attract capital and capitalists to any Nation or society is to have a skilled workforce .  However according to several sources the quality of the United States Educational system is not competitive, is not even in the top ten of best educations in the world.  According to U-wire:

” The United States is falling when it comes to international education rankings, as recent studies show that other nations in the developed world have more effective education systems. “

” In both studies, Finland, Australia, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Netherlands and the United Kingdom beat the United States, while the Asian nations of South Korea, Japan and Singapore ranked first through third, respectively. “

Now Rush is so fond of the word capitalism, in an increasingly technological world surely a smart capatalist survival of the fittest corporation is not going to bring his capital to the United States for complex jobs when all sources show that this is not the best place to get smart capital.  He’s going where the best capital is and it’s not the United States.  This is what smart legislators and a president realize.  If your human resources lack the skill to compete world wide, a smart government provides assistance so that they can eventually be able to compete.

Finally I don’t know who Rush represents surely he does not represent blue collar workers becaue there jobs have been gone for a long time and the job losses we are dealing with are the stragglers,  surely Rush is not talking about the middle class becasue they are in need of help too.  Is Rush Limbaugh representing the Very wealthy.  Bill Gates has a foundation that provides food aide to hungry people all around the world and says that he’s grateful to public education and libraries for helping him to reach his full potential.  Surely he’s not talking about Warren Buffet because he says he believes in helping also.  I am a little confused as to who rush is representing.  The only people he seems to be representing so far are the virulent racists who are so prejudice that they will work against their very own interests.

While yesterday Rush Limbaugh bragged on the fact theat he did not need a prompt to speak and could go on and on maybe Rush should do less talking and more studying  the bible and world affairs.  Below is a little bible lesson for Rush.

Lil Wayne (WeezY)

For the first time since maybe the constitution was written we have a President that actually cares about the people.  We have a president that actually wants to make the United States “ideal” of Liberty and Justice for All, real.  While I have wavered and waned on my support of Barack Obama during the election.  Since he has been elected the only behavior I’ve seen from Barack Obama is a caring and concern for the American people that is unprecedented.  The haters coming out of the woodwork have literally stunned me.   I can honestly say that I was unaware of the hate that certain white people felt for blacks until Barack Obama was elected.  I would have never dreamed that so many self proclaimed Republicans and Caucasians associated Blacks with watermelon and fried chicken.

The two incidents that I’ve heard about involved individuals on the government pay roll. This is really a cause for concern that in the first case,  a mayor of a town sent  an email with the following picture to his list:

The Mayor says the President Will Not have an Easter Egg Hunt But A Watermelon Hunt this Easter

The Mayor says the "President" Will Not have an Easter Egg Hunt But A Watermelon Hunt this Easter

stating there will not be an Easter Egg hunt this spring at the White House but a watermelon hunt.   The second incident involved cops who stated on their face book pages that:

“the rose garden will be turned into the watermelon garden” that there will be a “KFC set up right in front of the white house”

The scary part about these comments is that these individuals interact with the public.  We will never know how many people have not been hired, who’ve been falsely accused and arrested, and wronged just because of racists in the woodwork.

Meanwhile the conservative Republicans are meeting and they don’t have a clue why they lost the White House and a large number of congressional seats.  This is really quite funny that they fail to realize that the reason they  lost is because of their lack of concern and ignorance of the needs of ordinary people.  Instead of utilizing a strategy of how can we show that we are concerned and how can we win in 2016.  They are insulting the President of the United States.  They are using the same tactics that caused them to lose the White House by close to double digits. “Pathetic”  The only people who are fooled are the racists. WAKE UP REPUBLICANS!

The Case For Co Ed Prisons One Social Problem is Leading to Another

Prisoners likely to take home AIDS

Curiosity Killed the Cat

I have begun a dreamboard.  Today in order to be really thorough about what I was looking for I decided to look for a picture of a penis to put behind  my dream board.  I was a little taken aback to see that I could not find one that was straight or not with a Caucasian in the first several pages of Google.  Even so the gay black penises outnumbered the black penises with Caucasians.   I just finally gave up with an awful awful bad taste in my mouth.  I had to sit there and wonder if black people could sustain a society where it’s beginning to look like a large group of the male population are openly gay or on the DL.

As my thoughts roared through my mind I understood that a percentage of every population will include people who are just absolutely positively homosexual and can’t help it but the male homosexual population seems to be accelerating in the black community like Moores Law, exponentially.  While personally I subscribe some of it to the lack of male role models, economic hardship and exploitation, children without fathers, the water, the chicken etc.  My personal opinion is that the generations and gnerations of different incarcerated men are one of the main factors contributing to the incredible rise and acceptance  of homosexuality in the black community.

According to the American Sociological Association 20% of black men born between 1965 and 1969 had served prison time before they were the age of thirty compared to three percent of white men .  The rate of incarceration for black males went up significantly based upon what level of education they had.  Thirty percent of black high school graduates had served prison time by their early thirties and close to sixty percent of high school dropouts had served time in the Federal Penitentiary by the time they were thirty.  These numbers are just totally unacceptable and indicate a profound problem in the United States of America as it relates to black Americans and black society. With dropouts in recent years reaching close to fifty percent, it is becoming increasingly obvious that if alternatives and solutions are not implemented to help these men that the United States will face a crisis that it will not be able to handle.

As for homosexuality and the prison population, I personally think that a coed solution needs to be implemented immediately while the risks are obvious by making the prison population coed like pregnancy.  An implementation of a coed prison system could be a choice that prisoners make with the agreement that they take injectable birth control monthly.  Obviously the penal system is not doing a good job in controlling sexual intercourse in the penal system, it does not make sense to keep prisons same sex and cause deviant behavior and increase the spread of AIDS not just in prison but out of prison also.  Something needs to be done if prisoners are creating alternative lifestyles that will make it even more difficult to integrate into society we as citizens have an obligation to intercede.

I will be writing my congressman about this issue and idea.  I think it is a sound one that may reduce the numbers of prisoners returning to prison.

The folowing sources reference or discuss coed prisons

The Big House Goes Coed
Stephen Harrigan
Texas Monthly 03/01/74

Quote

” It’s a sort of penal mock-up of society, designed to reintroduce people who have been trying to survive in penitentiaries into a bigger world where the definition of survival is more elusive, a world that more often than not throws them and their prison-learned coping schemes off, like a body rejecting a transplanted organ. Nearly half the residents at FCI are in prison on drug-related charges. All are at least two years “short,” meaning they have two years or less remaining on their sentences. When they have six months or less to go they’re eligible for furloughs, community programs, family programs and other chaperoned sorties into the outside world.”

Quote

“But violence (judging from both official and resident sources) is sufficiently rare as to be only an occasional individual problem. Homosexual attacks, common in penitentiaries, are rarer still, and according to quite a few of the residents homosexuality itself is almost insignificant.”

Atlanta Ladies Do Not Take A Date Here

In African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, Atlanta, Black Women Bloggers, College Educated, Georgia, Neighborhoods, black blogger, black bloggers, borowing, borrowing, celebrities, entertainment, family, fashion, female blogger, female bloggers, relationships on February 26, 2009 at 9:40 am

You know I had a favorite spot that I liked to go.  I liked to go there so much that when my black professional  group decided to change venues to a predominately white meeting place instead of going next door I canceled my membership.  The thing that I liked so much about this place was that it seemed to be like a movie set.

However, after taking a date to Club Circa I decided that the whole I-20 corridor is not date friendly.  I have written previously about taking a friend, a strong friend  to a restaurant in Conyers and having the waitress ask him, my close to four hundred pound friend lick the hot sauce off her arm.  Ladies, just because he’s with me this does not mean he is rich or has a big penis.  He may just be my friend.  I was slightly amused by the incident because he was not my boyfriend and not my love interest but it made me strongly concerned about the families in the Conyers area that were exchanging black wives for white wives considering this woman was white.   In any event I don’t know what happened between them, I encouraged him to go back  another time because he wanted  me to help him shop for presents for his toddler son in North Dakota.  It should be noted however that he had already asked me to marry him, move in with him, do whatever it took just to be special to me.  This would have never happened considering I had a friend years ago who dated him and loved him.  He’s extremely charismatic and a phenomenal friend.   If I need something even though I have not spoken to him in a year he’ll come through.

In any event I have never had much of a problem meeting men when I just walk out of the door , single eligible men.  To just give you an example of my past  I have met one Grammy award nominee in the grocery store.  I met a physical therapist in the grocery store.  I met someone who opened for an act that has won five grammys at Georgia State University, and I know one man who writes and performs for grammy and award winning acts all around the world who I met at Barnes and Noble in Buckhead who used to call me from London and Paris and other places every night.  The truth is I was not interested in any of the people I have mentioned except maybe the guy who called from London and Paris and he was too impatient meaning when he was in town I had to be ready to make a move immediately, as well as some other reasons that made him turn into just a plain rat.  In any event I have never looked for just a man, but a man that I liked and was compatible with.

The men I usually ended up dating in the past and liked very much were usually visual artists, or writers, or maybe a persistent engineer.  I just want to say that the particular engineer that built bridges that I met was the best.  I could say I want and he would not just bring me one he’d bring me thirty- phenomenal.  The one incident that I think defined me and let me know that I had it was when my friends in college dragged me to a fraternity party because the man I liked/loved who was supposed to be coming from D.C. did not show up and I was dragged to this Frat party.  I am not a dancer, except in the dark because I am extremely shy.  So when one of the frat guys jumped into my lap and said either you came here to dance or to fuck , if not get out. I left and so did every other woman in the place.  I always chuckle when I think about this incident.

In regards to men I would also like to add that the majority of men that have come up to me and I have dated extensively have been well endowed.  It was not until the end of my marriage while in my thirties  and I got back into the dating scene that I actually knew that the statement  all black men are well endowed was just a plain out myth and a lie.     I have never had much of a problem attracting a man, if any man would do I suppose I would have one.

In order to find the right man, I turned to the personal ads of craigslist.  I was looking for an intelligent man in the least, a person that I could hold a conversation with.  I was not looking for someone with the characteristics of my former husband a 6′2 dead ringer for Rick Fox who was extremely intelligent and profoundly gifted who produced our daughter who is a dead ringer for an Asian looking Hallie Berry.  And where do I fit into this star studded continuum, one night as I was leaving a political meeting at Manuel’s Tavern a man screamed out of the car Chaka as in Chaka Khan.  My mother told me that I should not be flattered because this meant he was calling me fat.  Oh Well!  In any event I turned to craigslist to find someone to talk to and possibly probably have a long term relationship with.

I went out on the first date with a man I knew I was just not interested in nor even for a friend, we went to Chilis in Lithonia and the waitress went into a long story about only getting paid a certain amount  an hour and how she had no one to take her out.  I watched as she flirted with my date the whole night and  I thought just in character, I think on my next date I’ll go to Atlanta and my date ended with him saying maybe we should have gone to Midtown.  I was not interested in this first date and it ended with her giving him a check that had come and see me again in quotations.  This basically characterizes the black Atlanta dating scene whether it’s date night for marrieds or date night for singles.  This is why I think Forbes rated Atlanta as one of the best places for singles because it’s so predatory and the advantage is for men.  The caveat is I have fielded stares and glances from men who were with other women, while taking my family out to a birthday celebration one man sat and stared at me until I left and his date probably wife was evidently oblivious to what was going on or did not care as long as she could keep purchasing her LV pocketbooks.  I suppose the women that I have had the misfortune to run into with a lot of exceptions may have winked and managed to get him his number, but that’s not me.   Since I have not begun to tell my Circa story I would like to add that I was sitting beside a man at Cafe Circa who was tall and good looking that I could have been extremely interested in but he had a date and I had a date so I tried not to look at him.  Maybe if I change my personality in my next life I’ll slip my phone number to him. As the date I was with is fond of explaining about parallel universes and the time continuum maybe this is what I did in a parallel universe slipped my phone number to him and experienced the pleasure of his extreme good looks and long body.

Anyway I’ve written so much backgrond to get into this story at Circa I’m sick of writing.  Circa is a place that I stumbled upon, for some reason the coffee shop that my professional group was meeting at was now consistently closed at the time we were supposed to meet there.  I think it was someone’s comment about her green or burgundy hair that shut us out of that venue, but she refused to open for us anymore.  I did manage to catch her open the first time I came to the meeting and in attendance was the African contingency of professionals who were lots of  fun to be around, the Ethiopians, Somalis and some others nice……… In any event at the next meeting the proprietor had shut the place down and we had to find another place to meet which ended up being next door but in the midst of Atlanta off of Auburn Avenue where the King home was located had the feeling of skinhead heaven.  We managed to meet at this locale despite the fact that the staff kept throwing us glances like they hated us and did not want our money because we were black.  Unfortunately at the next meeting the coffeehouse women did not show up  so we went to Cafe Circa two doors down and had a wonderful time.  I thought Circa was a great place.  I told my friends and family about it .

So I naturally assumed that Cafe Circa would be a great place to bring a date, a craigslist date that I liked that I talked to for ninety minutes at a time. I also assumed that it was safe because my dear single  friend who I think is one of the most honorable and greatest men I have ever met had recently given a private party there that I could not attend due to illness so I naturally assumed that this place would be a place where the wait staff knew how to act, some of the things that happened I am not going to get into because it seems so strange and surreal, like the singer singing Tyrone by Erykah Badu and when my date could not hear me he texted something on his phone and passed the phone to me and she started singing don’t even have no phone, have to use my phone to text.  At the time I thought the singer was irritated because we were not giving her all of our attention but when I got home and thought about it I was really offended.

In any event I have not gotten to the good part yet.  The waitress came and took our order.  My date orderedtwo drinks and water.  I ordered one Peach Martini.  The waitress came back and put each one of his three drinks on a coaster, meaning three drinks and three straws, for my one little drink I did not get a coaster or a straw.  The waitress then preceded to lay and rub on my date all night long and glare at me from the corner.  I noticed this because my date was asking me not to button up my sweater  so he could look down my cleavage and I jokingly said yeah I saw a psychologist on TV and she had a big necklace on in her cleavage which indicated to me that we were supposed to be looking at her cleavage and nothing else. I pointed to my cleavage and jokingly said you’re supposed to be looking at my cleavage and nothing else, as I looked up the waitress was staring straight down my throat.  It made me feel rather strange.  Suddenly she came up and jerked my plate off of the table and I was quite shocked.

I honestly did not think anything of it, until I went out with my date that I like very much the next night to the Real Chow Baby at the Galleria - excellent staff , my craigslist date commented on the trendiness of the staff and their attire.  He thought one waitress had a mohawk but I explained to him she had a really great perm.  She was cute, young, and free and that’s just how you should be at twenty- something not trying to glare someone down for being on a date.  The Real Chow baby was a totally different atmosphere, I know it’s more general audience oriented  but Christ even at a lounge the waitress should not be feeling and rubbing your date up unless they are looking for johns.  In any event we went to cafe Intermezzo in Dunwoody after the Real Chow Baby where I found out the date had given the waitress at Cafe Circa a 25% tip.  I think I could have swallowed twenty because I give twenty to most people even if the service is not great but twenty-five percent was a little hard to swallow, I’ve even been out with 50 and hundred dollar tippers but the waiter or waitress respected me and my date.  I was taken aback and offended that I could be treated so shabbily and my date preceded to give the woman a twenty-five percent tip. I was mad at him and this revelation made me really think that Cafe Circa does offer the services of women of questionable character, I know my date paid for a back rub and to get laid on.  Ladies if your married man tells you he’s going to Circa for business I would question if it’s monkey business compliments of the wait staff.

Finally I would like to say Cafe Intermezzo in Dunwoody was wonderful as usual.  It’s been a great date spot for years.  I have an affinity for Dunwoody, when I temped, the temp agencies in Dunwoody always made sure that I had a job and was working.  When I was in an executive training program and all of the participants had MBA’s Dunwoody still found a place for me in this program.  Dunwoody is a good place as well as my family has had other financial and banking needs that the 20 corrider could not take care of and the Galleria area  where The Real Chow Baby is located came through.  I suppose I say all of this to say that if I take the time to put an ad in craigslist.  I should take the time to suggest places to my date that exemplify the character and the values that I try to practice in real life.

The twenty corridor is not doing it for me and ladies Circa Cafe is an absolutely horrible place to take someone you like and cherish to.  I am trying to salvage even a friendship out of this craigslist person that I loved talking to but the shadow of a 25% tip when I could not get a coaster or a straw and had my plate jerked from under me is making me feel that my date just did not respect me as much as he should, he says he did not know.  We talk everyday for at least two hours but I’m still wondering about him. :)

Phillip Tracy Smith of Ellenwood Georgia Refuses to Pay Child Support again this Year(Fact) Part II

In African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, Black Women Bloggers, black blogger, black bloggers, family, female blogger, female bloggers on February 2, 2009 at 11:08 pm

You know I insist on airing my dirty laundry on this blog as it relates to Philip Tracy Smith. It is not how Philip Tracy Smith of Ellenwood Georgia has treated me it’s how he has treated our son in many ways.

As I stated in a prior post Philip Smith originally of Valejo California  called his mother and asked her to tell me he was a decent person because I did not have much interest in him.  Mrs. Smith told me a 23 year old woman the her son a 43   year old man was a decent person.  What she failed to tell me was that he had a daughter that he was not supporting, I had to find that out while going through his mail, mail he encouraged me to go through because he wanted me to know everything about him.  What she did not tell me was that when Phil was 17 he and his mother took his girlfriend to an abortion clinic and her parents never found out.  This is what he told me when I told him I thought abortion was disgusting.

His mother on his encouragment told me that he was a nice person and asked me to be decent to him and then he nor his family can be decent to my child.  I called and asked if they would relay a message to him that it was very important that he pay child support this Christmas since he has never paid child support in December he always skips November, December, January, and February and then we go to court in March.

Well, when I called his house because I have always been cordial to his family to ask that they tell him to pay his saster Karen said: Don’t bother my mother about this this is between you and Phillip.  Well I had not meant to bother anyone I just wanted a message delivered to my child’s father that he needed to pay child support for Christmas.  I was a little taken aback considering my parents are very generous grandparents and know that Philip Tracy Smith has not paid.  I suppose even though his mother told me that her son was “decent.  She did not care to deliver a message regarding her grandson to her very very decent son.

You know there are some other things that I may wish to say like that he was fond of wearing pink shorts to Piedmont Park and sitting where the homosexuals sit but I won’t say that.

Emotive will allow Computers to Take a Real Live Journey Through your Mind With Their Mind Reading Device

“I Wish I Could Take A Journey Through Your Mind and Find the Emotions You Always Try to Hide” JOE

Several years ago I was informed that their was a mind reading device that could read your thoughts and someone called the thoughts “computer thoughts”.  While I was a believer and believed,  I never thought that the technology would be mainstreamed and assumed that the technology would remain under some strange black project and would never see the light of day.

However a couple of innovative Australians have done what I never thought would happen.  They will be main  streaming a mind reading device that reads the brain waves in  persons  mind and translates them into their thoughts.

Two of the innovators behind bringing this technology to market were pioneers in early text messaging.  They made their first millions by  bringing text messaging technology to the masses.  The other founder of the company is a Nobel prize winning scientist.

The writer from Inc. has tried the technology and  has the following to say about the Mind Reading Device:

I‘m sitting in a darkened room, attempting to move a large block with nothing but my thoughts. I stare at it intently and imagine myself physically tugging on it, trying to flood my mind with a sense of strain and determination. But the block doesn’t budge. I try again, concentrating, concentrating: Move, damn you; I am your master. After a long moment, the block trembles a bit, then slowly skids toward me a few feet before stopping. Encouraged, I mentally bear down until the block resumes its sliding, and this time it keeps going. I’m gripped by the immensity of what I have just accomplished: effecting a change in the world around me without moving a muscle. Well, that’s not entirely true. I may have squinted a bit.

This isn’t a dream; it’s science — and soon, maybe, a big business. OK, the block was only a virtual one on a computer screen, but that’s a nit. The same technology that converted my thoughts into action on the screen someday could be hooked up to a real-life backhoe, robot surgeon, or microwave oven, placing any of those objects at my mental whim. This thought-conversion technology is composed of some extremely sophisticated software and a piece of headgear that looks like a cross between a telephone headset and a skeletal bike helmet. Embedded in the headset are 16 electrodes that press lightly on my scalp, monitoring the electrical signals generated by the 3 pounds of toothpaste-like goo sealed in my skull. The signals are my brain waves, the stuff of thought and emotion. The headset passes the signals to the software, which extracts patterns that can be used to control anything that’s run by electronics.”

Emotive plans to introduce the technology to the gaming community first because of their willingness to adapt new technologies and their openness to beliveing the technology could exist.  The company then hopes to export the technology to as many areas of human interaction that it can.  Some of the other uses the company hopes to export the mind reading technology to is to ipods and mp3 players, allowing your thoughts and feelings to determine what music is played.

Other areas that I can personally think of is answering the question do you really love me.  Will people allow computer technology to do as Joe says “take a journey through their minds and find the emotions they always try to hide.”  This device can answer the unanswered.

Personally while I know this stock will outperform Google I will be investing in the company that provides shielding from this type of technology because I’m sure it can be wireless.

CNN Promotes Racial Conflict

In African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, black blogger, black bloggers on January 29, 2009 at 10:29 am

It appears that one of CNN’s main purpose is to keep the racial pot stirred.  They don’t even make it a stew they only want to report on one race “the black race”.

I have previously reported on Soledad Obriens negative attitude towards black women.  She has said and I quote “maybe now that Michelle Obama is First Lady, they’ll get some self respect for themselves. “  This followed a segment of insults to black women that for me personally is unprecdented.  Well guess what Soledad is slated to do another segment on Black America.

Well CNN guess what I will be reviewing the transcript from CNN’s black women segment and making a complaint to the FCC for defemation and the spreading of black lies about Black Americans.

With CNN the insults and the attacking of Black Americans is so insidious the early morning coverage of the innaguration of Barack Obama had a White Anchor who at the beginning of the coverage looked out over a sea of black faces and said all these people have come to see Barack Obama will have to return home to no jobs.  I had to laugh because I knew that if you even took a $400 bus trip to the National Mall you had to have a job.  The anchor later redeemed herself by singing like she was with her best friends with a group of women from Lousisiana; therefore proving what I always knew that there is always someone like you in every race.   She meant no harm.  She was a likeable sort, and she was willing to come to some sort of racial understanding. Unlike Soledad Obrien, who will never come to an understanding of black people, who has built her whole identity and career on potraying the seemy side of black life and has eesentially become a racial pimp, pimping her career on black people. The prior anchor redeemed herself.  Soledad will  never redeem herself.

During the King/Inauguration coverage Soledad Obrien was  in character.   She thinks she’s  an expert on Black America  and therefore since she’s never heard all of the King I have a dream speech she assumes no one has especially Kings fellow black folks . She walks up to a woman and screws up her face and says have you heard all of the I have a Dream Speech.  The woman says yes, Soledad’s face falls as if to say your’re a smart “one” coon.  She quizzes her and has to move on becasue this woman is just too smart. She does not rest until she finds a balck person as dumb as she wants them to be.

In the mean time, an anchor interviews a white girl who is so obviously with a white guy who’s tall, his face is fresh, and he’s chomping at the bit to be on the news.  The girl keeps talking about he and him and he did this.  Well the anchor identifies her him, it’s a black man who isn’t even in the shot. The white woman says no it’s him and points to the white guy.  I suppose this particular anchor thought that the only reason a white woman would be out there in 18 degree weather is because she’s with or trolling for a black man.  NOT TRUE!!!!

I suppose I truly realized CNN has race problems when this morning they are continuously running segments stating that blacks are shall we say fanatical about Barack Obama.  They think he’s can do anything they are saying, keep their houses from being foreclosed on, give them a job, give them a job. Well ummmmmm  isn’t this the platform he ran on.  Isn’t this Obama’s own platform hope, jobs, stopping foreclosures.  This is what he promised he would do for all Americans and this is why “all” americans voted for him.  CNN keeps stirring the pot.       All Americans are putting the same hope into President Obama.

Leaving us with the statement that set it all off:

“It’s not a Black America, It’s not a White America, It’s the United States of America”

Barack Obama

Maybe CNN in their Mocha Latte World missed this!   The problem just may be the culture of CNN and not the “United States of America”

Is there a Moratorium On Collecting Child Support “Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Meets In Atlanta”

In African American Bloggers, Black Women Bloggers, The Economy, black bloggers, democrats, family, female blogger, female bloggers, politics on January 26, 2009 at 7:06 am

The other day a dear friend called me and said I’m coming to Atlanta for my fraternity meeting. We started to talk and I suppose he remembered that my sons father was in the same Fraternity he was in and he said I know he pays child support, he’s a Morehouse Alpha. I had to say no he does not pay child support. No one seems to want to make him pay child support and since Barack Obama has been elected he has not paid child support and probably won’t.

In Georgia we know that if there is a Democrat in office men are not going to support their children. I remember we had a Democratic Governor in Georgia and the child support workers were losing files, could not find a non paying father and were generally nonfeasent, misfeasent, and malfeasent.

In my case if anyone sees Philip Tracy Smith of Ellenwood, Georgia, a non-payer to at least two children one in Texas and one in Atlanta supposedly who owns a staffing agency and writes up mortgages and who’s license should be suspended please tell him to pay child support.

Furthermore if you want to know how I hooked up with him. I told him when we were thinking about dating that he just did not seem to be the sort of person I was interested in because he had a lot of problems. What did he do? He called his mother and had her tell me that he was a good person, he just had problems, but was a decent individual.

In addition I left him for talking about a woman who was just a friend too much. He slept outside of my door all night and asked for forgiveness. Who is he married to know? This woman. He is a certified rat.

Years later he’s not paying child support, though his Frat brother is sure that he is or should be and he’s not.

Finally as the senate looks to confirm Eric Holder as head of the Department of Justice who might also be a member of this fraternity, I’m not sure though my friend insisted on naming a long line of frat folks to me on the phone he did not mention Holder so he’s probably not; in any event all women should be mindful that Holder might be prepared to have the justice department look left while deadbeat dads refuse to pay child support.

Oxymoron – Jews Committing Genocide in Palestine

In African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, Black Women Bloggers, Poverty, black blogger, black bloggers, female blogger, female bloggers, politics, the Middle East on January 10, 2009 at 4:05 am

I refuse to recognize the state of Israel.  As I hear of people who have been displaced for sixty years, in extended concentration camps, their homes taken from them and their peace.  I am not recognizing the Jewish state and no matter what happens it will never exist for me.  The area the Jews inhabit will forever be Palestine to me.

The Jews have made an alter to the Holocaust.  The United States acts as if this is a carte blanche to let them do anything they want to whomever they want.  The “Jews” are going to war against the weakest people they can find weakend by their actions.

The Jews say thy will be going house to house to fight the Palestinians.  Yes they are going house to house and killing everything and everybody in sight.  They are first and foremost killing every male in sight.  They are performing the type of genocide written about in the bible.  However instead of killing every baby they may be killing everybody in sight.  Evacuation and safe houses have turned into places where the Jews bomb.  Therefore knocking out 40 to a hundred people at a time.

Little as it’s told this will be the second genocide in the Middle East in the twenty -first century.  The United States committed genocide in Iraq   and I am convinced when they went door to door fighting  they killed a sizable number of individuals.  However at least we were humane enough to protect the innocent.  If the United States sent individuals to a safe house.  It was safe.  The Jews are literally killing everything in sight.

The caveat is no matter how many people the Jews kill it will not make them feel empowered.   It will not erase the holocaust.  The Jews have become the fourth Reich in Palestine.

The land known as Gaza is definitely a concentration camp with gates, no one can voluntarily get out or get in.  The people are stuck.  The people have no weapons. Sure they have used tunnels since the Jews have cut off their supplies but the tunnels are very public and according to a recent NPR broadcast, broadcast before the genocide began, the tunnels were used to get such benign things to the Palestinians as washing machines and food becuase the jews were starving the people.  They could barely get bread let alone serious weapons. I have seen no evidence of weapons.  The bombs that are being shot at the Jews harm no one.   If this is all the Palestinians have a door to door fight is going to turn into a massacre of the Palestinians by Jews.

The one thing that will come out of this is the Jews will no longer be able to wave the  Holocaust in people’s faces.  They will not be able to say to Europe and the United States and Japan why didn’t you help us sooner  eighty years ago because their hands will be filled with the blood of Palestinians therefore nullifying the significance of the holocaust and placing what happened to the Jews in the realm of human nature.  People will say that though the Jews were victims of the holocaust they turned around and committed genocide against the Palestinians, they expelled the Palestinians from their homes and killed them and killed them, therefore I repeat putting the ability to commit genocide in the realm of human nature,in  essence the holocaust now means nothing and does not deserve remembrance because the descendants of the victims committed genocide themselves.

In all of this the one thing I can’t understand is how does Saudi Arabia and Egypt just sit their weakly and allow these things to happen.  They have  weapons and can defend and help the Palestinians and judging by the Jews defiance to the U.N. If a Middle East country interceded in the conflict the world would support them.  I suppose the Palestinians are feeling quite helpless right now.  I suppose they feel that no one cares about them and that their lives are helpless and useless.  They have tried to go about their lives and live but can not find peace and stability.  Someone some country needs to help the Palestinian, the UN needs to send in Peace Keeping forces to help these individuals.  The status quo can not stand.  As Jews sleep soundly in their beds, little children innocent women and men are terrorized by people who took their land.  The decision to wipe Palestine off the map and give their land to the Jews was a BIG mistake.  An International group needs to right this wrong.

Every one is gritting their teeth and waiting for Obama to be sworn in in ten days however the unfortunate fact is the Palestinians may not have ten more days.  The Jews may have killed them all by then.

As for the rest of the Middle East that’s watching and doing nothing.  The blood of the Palestinians will forever rest on the hands of the Middle East  This is worldwide.  The world is watching.  The Middle East is big and bold enough to come over to the United States and kill thousands of people in one swoop but they are too weak to protect their Palestinian brothers and openly go to war with the Jews.  It’s less than ten days until Obama gets in, go to war with the Jews for ten days and when the new President of the United States is sworn in make peace. Some country must help the Palestinians out.  The Middle East must unify to keep their brothers from being victims of genocide.

Highlights of The Michelle Obama Role Model AC 360 Coverage

In African American Bloggers, African American Blogs, Black Women Bloggers, politics on November 28, 2008 at 2:52 am

This year I have been amazed at the things happening before me in the media.  I will never get over the Democrats in Michigan taking votes from Hillary Clinton and giving them to Barack Obama during the presidential primary and not hearing a peep about it except from Boston and LA media outlets.  My previous blog entry covered the Anderson Copper episode on November 24, 2008 and their coverage of Black Women.

While everyone was in an uproar over Don Imus and his comments about black Female basketball players at Rutgers being Nappy Headed Hoes.  No one seemed particularly concerned with the fact that CNN has aired a piece about black women that was doubly offensive, badly researched and just plain wrong.  I have to admit that after contemplating the CNN piece I had to think that maybe my processing of the piece was over the top.  Did I over react to the coverage and I have thought about this for days.  At some point I even wondered if despite the fact that I had seen the coverage twice if I had somehow put words into the piece that were not there.  In the modern day U.S. where Kings dream is played out everyday with black, white, red, and yellow children in schools and with adults in companies, and corporations and even in social situations.  It was a little hard for me to believe that a major media outlet would make a racial attack on one group of people.

For me, personally the way CNN covers black people is just as offensive as historical coverage of whites calling blacks Niggers and Coons openly on T.V. in the 1950’s and 60″s.  I find CNN’S coverage of black people and in this piece black women far more insidious and dangerous to black people than any noose hanging from a tree without a name or a color on it.  The noose is objective and inanimate.  If anyone feels offended by a noose it’s what they bring to the situation but CNN is actually telling people what to say and how to feel about black women and black people.  They may say that it’s to benefit black women, but CNN’s coverage of Black women the other day made me want to hide.  For me the coverage made me feel like some one had thrown me on the ground, pulled my legs open and looked in with a flashlight.  It violated me.

As far as Michelle Obama is concerned I have not failed to notice Michelle is Black. Neither has my mother who keeps repeating slyly Safire in the White House.  I find it particularly interesting that my mother uses this term because she’s never used it before.  As a black woman I find it triumphant that a black woman is in the White House and I thinks it’s ground breaking.  However what CNN is failing to pick up when they cover Michelle Obama at the expense of other black women (Quotes from CNN)

[ALLISON SAMUELS, "NEWSWEEK": When you look at television, we're either, you know, single mothers with a bunch of children or drug addicts or street walkers.]

[KAYE: Allison Samuels wrote this article for "Newsweek." She hopes and expects having Michelle Obama in the White House will help put an end to the stereotyping of African-American women, often portrayed as overweight, ignorant and angry.]

What CNN is failing to pick up is that as black people, as black women, we don’t care what black woman is in the White House and if she rolls her eyes stomps her feet and screams and these are the stereotypes we subscribe to. We don’t care we applaud it, and if she stomps her feet and gets loud we know why.  I am African American and I am loud I admit it. In my case I have not always  been loud . I used to be quiet as a mouse.  I write this with tears in my eyes,  becuase lately my tone is loud and strident and for those white women in particular who continually date black men and have black children after a while society has made them loud and strident too.  If you choose to be culturally black you will eventually be a safire whether out loud or inside.   We want Michelle to be a bonafide black woman in the White House and she has said that she’s the one who tells Barack Obama you’re not all that.  I have even read it being described as her south side of Chicago roots make Barack Obama see reality.  This is the safire in  Michelle and this is what is admired.  This is a real black woman in the White House.  It does not matter what profession Michelle Obama has chosen Teacher, Attorney, House Wife,  Stripper – (Italy and France).  We admire her because she’s black and the first Black First Lady when all the rest have been white.

CNN fails to realize in their AC 360 piece on Michelle Obama as a role model, you don’t have to bring black women down to put her on a pedestal.  She’s there.  No one has to justify her existence who she is or why. She’s there.  To attempt to cover Michelle Obama at the expense of black women not only insults the general population of black women but insults Michelle Obama also.  She is the First Lady and that’s not negotiable.

As for CNN and their coverage of black women.  I have heard black women stereotyped as the following:

[SAMUELS: We still have that negative image of black women being overweight and very loud and rolling their eyes and talking back and having these sassy one-liners all the time.]

I am familiar with the above stereotype.  However I was not aware that all of the world and society thinks of black women as street walkers and drug addicts.  This is indeed news to me and I would definitely be interested in seeing the research to back up these comments.  I took a sociology  class on interracial understanding many years ago with all races and we had to list our stereotypes about various races and the term street walker and drug addict was not associated with black people or for that matter was not a stereotype of a particular race.  Hitler was a drug addict.  In certain European countries they have drug addict areas.  Places where individuals can go and use their drugs of choice.   Prostitution is the oldest profession in the world and in Amsterdam women stand in the window and advertise their womanly charms.  In London they have Pink brothels so people interested in paying for sex can get something in the middle of the afternoon.  I don’t think anyone associates drugs and sex with any particular race.  Anyone who says that the world views black women as prostitutes and drug addicts subscribes to a fallacy; and I don’t believe that these statements can be supported with real research.

CNN goes on to say about black women,

“OLIVIA FISHKIN, NEW YORK RESIDENT: The average African-American woman should take heed and hope that, with hard work and study, that they can also elevate themselves and aspire to become whatever they want to become.”

You know I don’t think that Michelle Obama when she met and married Barack Obama said gee if I marry this man I’m going to be First Lady.  She became Barack Obama’s wife and he became president.  The average women black or white unless they are Hillary Clinton is not going to go out and say golly gee if I marry this man, I’m going to be First Lady.  As for Michelle Obama’s professional accomplishments I respect her for them but she won an athletic scholarship to Princeton and everyone knows the rumor about Ivy League colleges exposed by Larry Summers,  Obama’s buddy,  that if you are accepted into an Ivy League College you’re just going to get good grades no matter what.  All you have to do is be accepted.   Just like the NBA, not everyone is athletically gifted enough to get an athletic scholarship to Princeton like Michelle Obama. As for the six figure salary, she got that after her husband became a state Senator.  We can not play the Emperors New Clothes game with the Obama’s but if we are playing the role model game lets be transparently honest.  What is is.

CNN goes on to say,

[KAYE: What about her skin color? It's much darker than African- American celebrities like Beyonce or Halle Berry. Samuels says that may send the message black is beautiful.

SAMUELS: In the African-American community, a lot of times beauty is sort of determined by how light you are. And what I love about Michelle is that she's not that typical look.]

You know as a black woman I am familiar with the hurts of being browner.  I am also familiar with the hurts of not being dark enough.   I am not going to celebrate Michelle Obama’s darkness at the expense of my beautiful beautiful daughter or my mother , my mother like her father in her old age is looking more and more white versus black. My mother’s color has not saved her from hurt nor harm in life. Neither has the color of many of my friends. My daughter who is quite beautiful and tall, and at age eight looks like a petite black Asian woman went to pay for my gas and the store owner gave it to her, I had to track back and pay for it.  I find it painful that she may be discriminated against because she is lighter and prettier.  She has been discriminated against before because she was not dark enough and her features were not ethnic enough and it hurt me deeply.  The Michelle Obama craze because of her skin color has me warning my daughter who is not even close to being sexually active not to have sex before marriage, because I don’t want anyone using her body and then throwing her away because she’s not dark enough.

A society that deals in a races color as a sex symbol ultimately wants what it want’s it’ own image.  Maybe if CNN is concerned with the variety of black women they should try giving a black woman that is not the color of a paper bag a job as an anchor.  Practice what you are trying to preach.

Finally CNN goes on to say,

KAYE: Michelle Obama’s physique may also light a fire under black women. Federal statistics show four out of five African- American women are overweight or obese. Mrs. Obama works out daily, often before her girls are even awake.

SAMUELS: You don’t necessarily look at a size zero and go, “OK, I can look like that” in fashion magazines, but you have this real- life woman, who’s a mother and a wife, who is making time to sort of work out and look good. And I think all of that is going to play a big role in African-American woman, you know, just sort of taking a step back and saying, “What can I do to be healthy?”

I am particularly concerned with the fact that CNN want’s to light a fire under my butt.  I don’t think all of the exercise in the world will ever make me look like Michelle Obama.  I am 5′3. I have large breasts like my grandmother and mother.   She’s close to six feet and has small breasts and a big butt and she looks very big especially in the hips. I would be curious to know what size she wears and how much she weighs.  I’d like to see her step  up on the scale on TV and not get second hand knowledge about her size.   If she’s working out I don’t see it, I did see it but it looks like the election may have made her gain weight, as I have since the election began.  I think I’ll continue to look at celebrities as my radar for how I’m supposed to look.  As for CNN there are a lot more white people in the United States than white people therefore there are a lot more white obese people in the United States.  Since CNN is fond of picking up NBC’s cast off anchors maybe they could do what NBC has done, institute a National challenge for the whole United States regardless of color.  I fail to see how a persons weight defines them as a person and health is important but in the context of this piece it’s just a cheap shot at black women.

As for CNN, CNN may want to look internally for why the piece on Michelle Obama was so negative towards black women.  I am aware that some of the white women on staff at CNN are involved in interracial relationships with black men and vice versa.  Years ago my Sunday entertainment was watching Lester Holt and one of the CNN anchor women and I knew that Lester was married but this current CNN anchor woman seemed not to care.  In any event I think when someone referred to Obama as African American, a CNN representative went into a long sketch on Obama’s mother being white and how she had interacial kids.  We all know that Obama is interracial but despite what some may think.  He’s not where is because he’s interacial.  He’s where he is because his white grandmother married to a white man set up a great example for him and demonstrated through example that anything is possible.  It’s a great story that Barack Obama’s grandmother worked her way up from the secretarial pool to the Vice President of a bank.  This is why Obama is where he is.  Obama makes a great case for interacial adoption since his black father ran off and his white mother left him with his grandmother but I’m not seeing the case for interracial relationships.  I’m seeing a case for stable relationships.  I’m seeing that by marrying Michelle Obama, Barack Obama walked in the steps of his white grandparents in his desire for a more traditional lifestyle.  He has a desire to be a husband and a father and have a traditional family life.

That Gremlin Soledad Obrien is Attacking Black People Again She must have Just Rafted Over From Cuba (Soledad Subs for Anderson)

In barack obama, democrats, politics, presidential race on November 25, 2008 at 9:09 am

Erykah Badu Sings Southern Gurl – Every Black Girl Has A Vote and Every Black Girl Deserves to Be Respected Despite what CNN and Newsweek says

I have learned something about Anderson Cooper, whenever the producers of his show decide to air something controversial or distasteful that he does not want to be associated with he manages to not be on his own show Anderson Cooper 360 and hands the dirt bag to Soledad Obrien who as far as black people go will say anything distasteful, stereotypical or just plain out rotten about black people that she thinks will make her career.  Well the last Anderson Cooper showed Soledad at her best in stereotyping Black Women. I also had to wonder as I watched the piece if Soledad had just swam across from Cuba, as she seemed totally unaware of the strides that black women have made outside of being someones wife.   I had to wonder if Soledad had ever heard of Dr. Condeleeza Rice, on leave from Provost of Stanford University and current Secretary of State.  The world has, but alas poor soledad must be suffering a  language barrier.  I am still wondering why she hasn’t done a piece on Hispanics yet, I think Latin America is having a really rotten drug war that’s resulting in a loss of lives.  I would be interested in seeing this issue covered.  I am concerned that the drug war may come over the border.

In any event, last night the gremlin resembling Soledad Obrien did a piece on black women and how Michelle Obama will elevate black women and how they the world sees black women and how they see themselves.  As a women maybe ten years younger or more  than Soledad Obrien, I had to think that her piece was hackneyed and not very current. As usual Soledad Obrien’s information was totally biased and badly researched.  The miltimedia headlights included “Medea” and some other man who dresses as a woman in the piece, big fat women rolling around the screen, and children hollering.  Evidently the producer of the piece is not aware that Medea is a man. The producer is also not aware that Tyler Perry tries to highlight Medea’s positive qualities and Medea is a satire on African Americans. It’s not a stereotype but almost a look at the past and maybe while some of us may not be like that “anymore” or have ever been like that, we may need to be like this in some ways is Tyler Perry’s message is.   If anyone is familiar with the literature of Lindon Hills by Gloria Naylor who writes fiction on black class and status issues, they will notice the thread of Linden Hills a book by Naylor in Perry’s Work.  Naylor essentially says in Linden hills by having the rich people live at the bottom of the hill and the poor at the top the higher they (Striving blacks) climb, the further they fall in terms of morals, family life, relation to God etc.   I think Tyler Perry tries to draw the same parallel. Unless you have an extremely low IQ I don’t think that Perry expects viewers of his movies to think that his movies are real life and MEdea is a real woman.

Soledad had one Newsweek pundit saying society stereotypes black women as street walkers and drug addicts.  The show also gave statistics on black women and obesity.  She also conveniently mentioned blacks and skin color and how Michelle Obama’s dark skin would raise the esteem of dark skin people.   She mentioned Beyonce and Hallie Berry as sex symbols and said we had no dark skin sex symbols.  I think Angela Basset, Janet Jackson, Alliyah, Erykah Badu and Rihanna qualify for me as women who are brown or do not have traditional European features. I think girlfriends, produced by Kelsey Grammar who was a McCain supporter presents a multi colored cast of sexy African American women.  Finally Soledad did an interview with Faye Waddeldon and said that Michelle Obama elevates the possibility of what black women can do. Personally while having a law degree and a job is commendable, as a woman I respect women who go to the top of their professions not who just perform the act of acquiring , for Barack or Michelle Obama even a brief before the Supreme Court would have earned a tremendous amount of respect from me.  As for Faye Waddledon I remember Faye Waddledon from when I was ten years old, Pre-Cosby.   The world has changed a lot in those years.  Has she done any new research in twenty years she’s still saying the same thing she said twenty years ago.     HUH”"”"”"”"”"”" I suppose Condoleeza Rice was not the first female National Security adviser and the first Black Female Secretary of State.   Black Women have already been elevated and the Republican Party did it.  The same people attacking black women are the same people who attacked and are attacking Sarah Palin.  They hate women.  They do not love Michelle Obama, they are attempting to compensate for her lack by attacking black women.  They are attempting to build her up by comparing her with a social problem.  All I want Michelle to do is comb her hair, put on a suit, and keep her children’s hair neatly combed and done at all times.  This is not rocket science, the women who are the targets of CNN’s piece do it well all the time, maybe they would be more suited to the role of First Lady rather than a Harvard trained Attorney.  Michelle’s job is First Lady (WIFE)  lets just pray she can take care of her ceremonial duties without a hell to Oblivion dress on, let’s hope she knows how to be a good wife and mother if she can do this she would have met the criteria for the job of First Lady.  There is no degree requirement for First Lady!

In the the year 2009 America will be celebrating a ground breaking event, it’s first Black President.  Unfortunately what CNN has failed to realize on a recent report on  Michelle Obama and how she breaks the mold of Black women is that this historic election of a black man in the white house was done step by step and partially shattered by the positive media examples of black women and men in the media.  Personally I believe the presence of a smart articulate black woman such as Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice was critical to Barack  Obama becoming President.  When the United States had no idea what was happening in the Bush Administration Condi, Secretary of State was able to explain to us in a graceful, feminine, kindly way what was going on in the world.  In the Bush administration Condi was our light.

In any event the most ground breaking thing that a black women did this year for me was make a video.  I am a horror buff.  I just love the movie Silent Hill as well as Hostel.    So when I saw the following video by Rihanna since I rarely see black people in a horror genre I was thrilled.

This is ground breaking to me (it says something about please click on a link thanks, I have not clicked on the link and do not know where it leads, as far as this blog is concerned please do not click on anything other than the youtube play icon.):

Update The Obama Acceptance Dress: I can see Why She Bought it

In barack obama, entertainment, fashion, michelle obama on November 15, 2008 at 6:49 am

After reading this link,  I’ve discovered why Michelle Obama chose the Gate From Hell Dress:

Gate of Hell Dress

Gate of Hell Dress

Modifications Matter

Modifications Matter

Judging by the white dress in the first picture that’s leaving the runway in back of the runway model’s version of the Obama dress Narcisso designs for skin and body accenturer.  If you want to wear a Narcisso dress you have to be willing to literally let it all hang out.  Unfortunately Michelle Obama though willing to let her husband be a maverick and run for president was not willing to be a Maverick and wear the dress as designed.  This unwillingness not only made her a fashion horror but terribly compromised the designer.  I think what should be pointed out based on a higher resolution picture (the second picture) is that the dress Michelle Obama is wearing is not the runway models version, she is not wearing the dress as it was intended to be designed.  It’s not even a knock off of the dress, it’s a totally different dress.

First of off the dresss to the right is a little black dress with red accents. In my opinion the intent of the designer was to make the dress accentuate the positive charms of the wearer and not be just a cover up.   When I actually look at the dress, I’m thinking the designer is thinking about a Latino with silky thick luxurious long black hair with a curvaceous figure.  I’m not seeing Vogue I’m seeing playboy.  This is a very difficult dress to pull off as is , let alone modified.

First of all the dress has cleavage, the designer of the dress wants to see cleavage, whatever the flaws of the dress too many people will be busy looking down the wearers dress than concerned  with the design, especially if it’s wrapped around a playboy Latino’s body.

The designer has gone through pains to minimize the red.  The black portions of the bottom of the dress almost meet up with the red and then their are pipings of black that meet a small section of red.  Juxtaposed, Michelle Obama has basically a red dress on.   The black at the bottom of the dress stops way too early and should almost meet the sash at her waist with a tiny amount of red showing.

At the top the designer has a very minimal amount of red ,with black satin at the cleavage, and red and black fabric like a bra where a woman’s breasts should be. Finally the dress should end with straps. Obama has totally annihilated the cleavage and given the dress a strong helping of red with a tiny amount of black collar.  The critics argue that Mrs. Obama has covered up the straps.  There is no way this dress has straps.  It has a collar.

Finally the bottom of the dress is sheer accenting the theme that the dress is accenting the wearers female attributes rather than being just a dress.  In essence legs and cleavage are on display and it’s an invitation, however since Obama was unwilling to go with the spirit of the dress, she’s left with a horrific dress of mostly red and some black.

Michelle Obama Sends A Toast to Bethesda Softworks with her Gates From Hell Oblivion Dress

In politics, presidential race on November 6, 2008 at 5:40 am

Has any one heard of the Elder Scrolls?  Well it’s this totally awesome series of games from Bethesda Soft Works.  My personal favorite is Morrowind, but Oblivion is the latest elder scrolls game.  Due to this fact I could not help but instantly be reminded of the Oblivion Gate when I saw Michelle Obama’s dress.  The Oblivion gate is a gate to a hell like other world in the game Oblivion.  I tried not to mention the hell dress but Wonkette made the hell dress reference first and I’m just putting my two cents in.

In any event here is Michelle Obama’s Dress:

Gate of Hell Dress

Here is the Video of the Oblivion Gate and the whole other world of Oblivion.

Here is a photo of Oblivion.

Oblivion Gate

Oblivion Gate

In Oblivion they have various Daedra or life forces.  One of the forces is the Golden Saint.  See Below

golden saint

golden saint

The Elder Scrolls has often used the names of various famous people to name objects, since Michelle Obama is wearing an oblivion dress maybe they’ll create some sort of Daedra named after her a female daedra dressed in black and blood red.

Halloween was several days ago maybe Mrs. Obama has been so busy she may have accidentally put on her Halloween costume to stand by the side of what will be the first Black President of the United States, maybe they were out of suits and ball gowns that night, hell since they were outside even some slacks and a nice blouse would have been appropriate.  Was she out of those too?

As for the dress in the first photo, the models are 20 Michelle Obama is 40+. In January she will officially be in her mid 40’s.  As Michelle Obama represents the United States in more conservative parts of the world such as North Korea she may want to start dressing like she’s in her mid 40’s.  You’re old enough to run for president baby and your figure knows it.  Palin and Condi have  much hotter figures but they have never abandoned their conservative looks as they represent the United States.  Finally, Michelle Obama may have thought Barack Obama had a good chance of losing so she wore the red blood of the people and the black skin of the people on her back.  Yeah I had that shirt too when I was much younger:

shirt

Finally we may never see Michelle Obama in a suit again because she may be protesting Western Culture and the White Man or if she’s like me when you buy a suit you have to face the fact of what your actual dress size is.  For me I am going to put Beyonces figure with my face on my dream board and use the secret to get my body in shape.

On the positive side Michelle Obama’s hair and makeup looked great and the children looked totally awesome, they had on great little dresses, and if a mother has to choose between herself and her children, surely the children come first and they did.   Finally Michelle Obama has to be admired.  She worked hard with Barack Obama to win the presidency.  I think that that’s so wonderful.  Love her or hate her Michelle Obama is a total winner.

Beyonce has released two songs and videos that I will be listening to and watching for years to come. It’s taken a long time for someone to replace Janet in my mind and I know Beyonce is not new but these two new songs might put Janet in my mind to the position of number two as The Best Female R&B Pop Star in my mind and Beyonce as #1 The Queen!

All The Single Ladies

If you like it then put a ring on it.  Beyonce is giving lessons in this video on how to make him like it.  With this video a girl Does not have to wonder what she needs to do to keep her man from awandering, a must hear but definitely a must see!  See Below as long as it’s on You Tube!  Girls Look and Learn and don’t forget!  A Free Lesson courtesy of Beyonce!

Raising The Bar: Whatever You Do, Do Not Vote For R. Joy Walker Chief Judge of Recorders Court For Dekalb County For Superior Court Judge In Dekalb County!

In Dekalb County, Georgia, Race, Race and Class, The PO PO, The Police, elections, family, political corruption, politics on November 4, 2008 at 2:13 am

If anyone has read this blog in the past they may know that after taking my daughter’s glasses to vision works to be fixed last year after a few months of wear, I left the mall and was very falsely accused of stealing a pair of glasses.  I did not have and never have stolen any glasses.  I protested this at the time I was accused because I was afraid and I think if someone will falsely accuse you of stealing something they will do anything to you.  I was charged with disorderly conduct when I became hysterical because I was falsely accused.

Raising the Bar

There is a new show coming out called raising the bar.  I heard about it yesterday and it’s supposed to expose how justice in the United States has a bloody eye and why young attorneys do not want to continue to practice law.  I know what they mean because I have been through it personally, the injustice, and also being represented by a brilliant young attorney who I often think does not deserve the treatment meted out to her by recorders court in Dekalb County.

In the Court of Dekalb County Recorders Court essentially traffic court, there are many horror stories walking through there.  My mother was fined 600.00 for a cat.  I appeared in court years ago and told the judge I did not have the money to pay my ticket and she told me  I would be put in jail until I paid what amounted to a seventy dollar ticket.   I did not have the money. I explained to the judge.  She immediately sent me to jail.  My family came and paid the ticket within several hours and when I got out I wrote the Department of Justice on the Court.  I learned that later that year, they were no longer sending people to jail for not being able to pay their traffic fines.    These are just two of my and my family’s experiences that I thought were rather extreme in Dekalb County Recorders Court.  Here is a link to several blog entries about experiences in Dekalb County Recorders Court as presided over by R.  Joy Walker.

Average Life tells of hearing one fine on their automated system and being asked to pay another, Comments to this blog go into detail about their terrible treatment too.  One commenter talks about receiving a summons to appear at 8:00 pm.  The commenter also states he was carted off to jail for a ticket that he had already paid.

This blog talks about a ticket that could not be found in the system! You have to scroll to find it.

A Man Blogs His Experience with Dekalb County Recorders Court

Southern In-hospitality is self explanatory

Now that you have a true idea of what’s going on.  I’m going to tell you something so shocking that it will make you pull your hair out.  It will make you say, what is happening in the United States and make you seriously question whether some counties and states are bound by the constitution.  I have written the FBI and the GBI because what you will read here is just all out corruption and judicial misconduct.  I appeared before this court on a disorderly conduct charge.  The Chief Judge of this Court is running for Superior Court Judge we can not allow her to have power over people who may go to jail for years. We must preserve some semblance of justice in our court systems and further more we can not afford the embarrassment if she is investigated and found to be corrupt.  Do Not Vote For this Woman!

In any event this is what I want to tell you.  The last message I left for the attorney that represented me on the charge of disorderly conduct who went before the court and had the charges reduced to creating a disturbance, an ordinance rather than a misdemeanor  went something like this.  I’ve called the court and the court is claiming the charges were not reduced, am I crazy, did I just imagine the charges being reduced.  I know I spoke to the attorney that took your place, (the attorney that represents me now practices in a higher court.)  He told me that the judge had agreed that it was a mistake and would change it.  I went to get a disposition of the case  and the woman at the information desk told me that there were now two dispositions in the system, she did not know which disposition to certify.  I had to wait for the judge to get out of court. I waited and the judge stated the charges were never reduced.  Am I crazy I repeated.  I am quite confused now as I ‘m talking to the answering machine.  For them to treat an attorney this way, my brain is swirling, she might be in on it too, maybe she does not remember either.  I ask one more time because at this point I’m going to call the FBI and the GBI if she calls back and tells me that she remembers what I remember.  She calls back a day later and says yes the charges were reduced and the other attorney did speak with the judge about the reduced charges and she has the documentation.  I am floored OK, I am relieved I am not crazy.  The charges were reduced but the court had me plead guilty to reduced charges and then changed the charges back.  I suddenly realize that I am living in a banana republic.  I realize that in the United States blacks are allowed to oppress other people and not held to any sort of accountability because we were once slaves and segregated, and instead of holding certain blacks accountable they are allowed to do anything they want to do to assuage white guilt.  I should not be living in a banana republic.  I live in the United States.  Yet corruption and unfairness rule in my part and color of the world.  HELP I may as well be In Hussein’s Iraq!

Mrs. Sarah Palin Who are you Palling around with a. adulturers b. drug adddicts c. the beer queen d. all of the above!

In John McCain, Moral Majority, barack obama, politics, presidential race on October 20, 2008 at 7:52 am

Hey Sarah since we are talking about who people are hanging with,  let’s see who you’re palling around with.

Oh Sarah You’re palling around with adulterers.  Everyone knows that prior to marrying Cindy McCain, John Mccain was married to another woman and he cheated on her terribly until finally he cheated on her with an attractive millionaire and decided to marry this one.  It is also rumored that John Mccain even after he married Cindy did not change his cheating ways, it is widely rumored that he exchanged political favors for sex with a young blonde woman.  I suppose what you don’t know is that it is widely believed that you were “the woman” Mccain chose to be VP because he’s gotten a sexual favor from you or he’s expecting a sexual favor from you.  Enquiring minds want to know have you given up the cat yet?  In case you were unaware that you were palling around with an adulterer you can read more about it here, here - this one states your base does care about adultery and would be less likely to vote for a candidate who had extramarital affairs- let’s see by your logic Obama knew that Ayres did what he did therefore he is what Ayres is let’s pull this further you know that McCain is an adulterer and therefore Sarah Palin is an adulterer and should not get the support of her base.  You can also read more about McCain’s adultery here.

The message is:

Sarah Pallin is Palling Around with Adulterers.

Oh yeah who is is Palin palling around with, Oh she’s palling around with a drug addict. A Drug Addict no less.  Cindy Mccain falsified prescriptions for her own charity and instead of handing them out to the charity she kept the drugs in a suitcase and swallowed them down whenever she felt like it.  You can read about it here or here

Ok what do we have here:

Saring Palin is Palling Around with A Drug Addict! A Drug Addict!

I thought Sarah Palin was a Christian in most protestant churches that I’ve been too.  Drinking is a sin.  Cing McCain is known as the Beer Queen.  I wonder how many calamities have been caused by people drinking  her beer, wife beatings, people killed in drunk driving accidents you get the point.  Needless to say the Republican moral majority don’t care.

Sarah Palin is palling around with the Beer Queen, she’s promoting Sin!

Sarah is palling around with these types of people. Well let me tell you it’s not just a group of people.  This is one couple.  I wonder what her other friends are like.  I don’t want to know.

Worth Going to War For: Mexican Drug Cartel Kidnaps 6 Year Old From Home

In politics on October 18, 2008 at 11:17 am

What’s worh Going to War For? Iraq – No, not in my opinion.  Drug Lords from Mexico that Kidnap little children from their homes, yes this is worth going to war for.  This is worth losing the Iraq war.  This is worth pulling the troops out of Iraq immediately to protect our borders.  Isn’t this something that we need Federal Troops for.  The article states that in Mexico over 500 children have been kidnapped from their homes by Drug Lords.  This sounds like a war to me.  The kidnapping of a six year old from his home is Pearl Harbor to me.   It appears that while our leaders are  wrapped up in the Middle East, Iraq, and Georgia that they are not watching our borders.  This drug war is nothing new, I’ve been reading about it for over a year, mainly from the headline Texas college Students are warned to stay away from nearby Mexico for Spring Break because of Drug Wars.  Come on Folks, Can’t we elect political leaders that actually care about us.

Here are links that I’ve found related to the Mexican Drug War and in some cases what some call the American Drug War.  Meanwhile:  Bubba has sent the troops to Afghanistan to “yeah right” look for Bin Laden and protect the Poppies.

Mexico’s Drug war Shows a Virulent Feminine Side Interesting

Mexicans Fleeing Drug War Help El Paso House Market This article written in September details that Mexican citizens are buying houses in El Paso Texas, and returning to work in Mexico because they are afraid that there children will be kidnapped by Mexican Gangs and Drug Lords.

Quotes from the Mexicans Fleeing Drug War Help El Paso House Market:

“Already notorious for a spate of brutal murders of young women in the 1990s, Ciudad Juarez has become Mexico’s most violent city in a drug war that has killed some 2,700 people nationwide so far this year. Some 3,000 troops were sent to the city of 1.5 million but they have failed to stop the chaos.” (As of September, 2700 people this year have been killed)

“El Paso real estate brokers say demand from over the border began rising early this year as the drug violence flared, and has ballooned since then as murders, abductions, extortions and car theft have spiraled. Many Mexicans are even paying cash. The article begins by saying that citizens especially with small children are moving to the United States.  It appears to me that these Gangs are trafficking in children.  They may say they are abducting children for drug debt but judging by this article they are kidnapping children because they are not just in the business of drugs but children also.

OVERWHELMING FEAR

“I had to get out. The violence, the fear is overwhelming,” said Armando Garcia, 39, a computer programmer from Ciudad Juarez who has just obtained a three-year U.S. work visa and moved to El Paso to search for a one-bedroom apartment. “

Race, Gender, and Class is creating a Quandary for this Independent Voter

In barack obama, democrats, politics on October 18, 2008 at 8:03 am

I’ve said often on this blog that I’ve made a decision on whom I want to vote for but the truth is I have not and every time I decide definitely in my mind, a constituency of either presidential candidate makes me question if I actually want to cast a ballot for the candidate of choice at the time.

My quandary, not with McCain but with Palin is, Is she a racist or not.  I think at her first campaign stop there was a black man who really wanted to shake her hand and she refused to shake it.  Ever since my brief observation I’ve been wondering is she or isn’t she a racist.  The behavior of her followers, one who even used a racial slur against a cameraman is deeply troubling.  There has been evidence that she’s not a racist, the winner of Miss Alaska a black woman has said that Palin was cool and not a sore loser when she lost to her.

In addition Palin’s husband is partially Eskimo which does not point to a pure racist,  However, her base makes me wonder what she is.

You know as far as I am concerned the one thing Sarah Palin appears to be doing well is being a woman.  I thought it was awesome when Sarah Plain stepped off the airplane toting her baby after her campaign activities.  I thought it was wonderful that she actually went into Wal-Mart.  I think it’s wonderful that she actually married someone that she’s attracted too.  I think it’s wonderful that she has five kids and still manages to play the game.  I really like the image that Sarah Palin portrays.  I admit she did have a very rocky start with her first TV interview, but she pulled it together quickly.  As for Foreign Policy experience Condeleeza Rice, a woman that I deeply admire has said something to the effect that different skill sets can be used to address Public Policy.  The You Tube Video of What Condeleeza Rice thinks of Palin appears below.

In terms of Class and Sex I think Barack Obama does this rather badly.  Obama for me reminds me of a friend or a loved one that I argue with constantly and I always forgive because well because I care for them.  It’s like you see their faults but you love them anyway.  Obama as far as I’m concerned is extremely charismatic and seductive.  I think he knows this and takes advantage of it.   People have dropped out of the race for lesser things then what Obama has been known to actually do. Plagiarism, Biden dropped out of a Presidential race for it. Racism, I do believe that Obama knew that Reverend Wright was a racist.  If he’s that naive he does not need to run for President.  Churches have themes.  The whole Church is themed around evil whitey.  I’m sure of it.  They have speakers coming to the church talking about how the white man oppresses black people.  They have plays about it.  This is the unadulterated truth if anyone wants to  or cares to hear it.  White men who have been accused of a lot less then this type of racism have dropped out of the race, however it may not even be a race issue but a generational issue, Obama’s generation is Prince and Madonna.  They are used to controversy and are not dropping out because of it.  Earlier generations may have been embarrassed a little too easily.

The class issue,  Obama is an unadulterated elitist, small town people cling to their religion and their guns is a terribly elitist thing to say, unfortunately having roots in a small town I agree with this.  Though I often write positively about my parents small town roots, the roots sometimes try to follow you out of the country and wrap their tentacles around you creating a small town atmosphere of innuendo and bad feelings.  On my most recent visit a relative told me you don’t know what they say about you you should change your clothes,  I replied well I know what they say about you, you’re a rabid gossip.  In any event I’m not arguing with Obama’s impression of small town America because I used to be closely associated with one and more and more I’m thinking about getting lost from it.

Finally the sexism issue and Obama weighs heavily on my mind.  The way the the democrats and Barack Obama treated Hillary Clinton is just totally unacceptable behavior.  They literally took votes from Hillary and gave them to Barack Obama as written about here and here. While some may argue that this was not a chauvinist thing to do it was just winning, asking Hillary Clinton to just swallow the incident and campaign was chauvinist to me and though she has been married to the President of the United States and been first lady proving swallowing disappointment and unfairness is profitable, it’s a wooden nickel and makes me wonder if she’s a happy women.  Money and Power don’t mean much without self respect.  To emphasize how money does not matter, let me briefly tell a story when I was in San Francisco I saw this homeless couple, the male of the pair picked up his raggedly dressed companion and placed her in the basket with such love and gentleness that I instantly felt a twinge of envy.  If you can end life being loved and appreciated then power and money does not matter much.  In essence Obama treated Hillary wrong, the fact that he respects his wife and no one else is peculiar to me because respect of your colleagues is supposed to be a given.

Finally after all of this, one may wonder why Obama still ranks as a candidate in my mind.  The honest truth is he looks like a nice guy who will do the right thing.  I don’t believe that he’s a nice guy.  He believes in infanticide.  This will probably be the deal breaker for me.  I honestly don’t feel that he has a platform that he really cares about; for example when I think of Hillary Clinton I think of Health Care.  When I think of Barack Obama, I think he looks like a nice responsible human being.  He looks like he will do the right thing and he’s a democrat and maybe just maybe he will care about making things better.

Finally as far as Obama is concerned his base is so disgustingly smug that I really feel no affinity with them, though I do have the most basic of college degrees, I still like talking to Joe the plumber, and Mary the maid, and Sue the hairdresser.  As a matter of fact I would love to be their friends so I could get free and reduced services from them in exchange for my services as a Web  Architect.  The SNL skit of the McCain Palin supporter made me think of myself.  I am often wrong, I am often judgmental and may mispronounce a word but I don’t think that I should be made fun of.  When I see skits like this I think there will be no consideration of me in an Obama presidency and there probably will not  be because after all he refused to shake my hand.  :)

The question pollsters should be asking is, Have you voted in early voting?  If not why?  If I knew who I was voting for trust me I would participate in early voting to avoid long lines.  I am going to narrow it down before the early voting polls close because I don’t want to wait in long lines.

Jacks In The Boxes Put them in the Box Put Them in the Box and Super and Crazy Glue the Lid Down

In politics on September 19, 2008 at 5:36 pm

Lately there has been a swirling controversy around old school rap versus new school hip hop.  There have been several mispoken words, and false memories by the old rap artists and their fans that I find troubling.  I am by no means an expert but consider myself a member of popular culture.  I was alive when the rap group Sugar Hill came out and I am alive now.  Then again music lasted a lot longer several years ago so just because I know about Sugar Hill that does not mean I was alive for the debut.

In any event I first became vaguely aware that there was a problem this summer while participating in a family reunion.  I was responsible for the music and had planned a seventies throw back celebration.  My seventies were ChakaKhan, Sister Sledge, A Taste of Honey, The Bee Gees, Earth Wind and Fire, and some others but I think my descriptions are vivid enough to indicate what type of old school party I planned.  I am sorry old school rappers I had no intention of touching that time of the old school rap reign, characterized by a culture of teenage pregnancies and drive by shootings.   I think the very thought of hearing over two minutes of Planet Rock was enough to make me puke.  I was not a rap fan and did not even like anything remotely like rap until the early nineties where rap for me changed to HIp Hop with the advent of Digital Underground.  So our old school celebration was definitely going to be pre-eighties becuaset he music I did like during the eighties was Prince and his Court:  Mazerati, Sheila E, Vanity, Vanity 6, and others music that I definitely did not want to hear with family members.

As we began the second phase of the reunion which would lead into the seventies celebration we had family members sing and then the little baby dancers came on, I mean between the ages of two and eight.  They requested HIP HOP and they were awesome to watch.  I was so impressed.  We eventually got to some line dances the Slide and the Cupid Shuffle.  However after the Cupid Shuffle we began to run into some extreme generational problems.  The DJ wanted to play blues and of course I said, “What are you playing?  The kids were requesting Hip Hop and we were trying to get something everyone could live with.  Finally we had to cede to the youngest members of the family when they nicely said play something from 2008.  I suppose the DJ did not get the message because a group of at least ten little kids started jumping all over the dance floor doing flips and flops hollering 2008 2008 2008 and some even said 2009.  Our reunion theme was set, we would not be hearing anything prior to 2008.  Our dance floor turned from a dance floor to a stage, those young adults and children  put on a show greater than any Broadway show.  I’ve been to high priced fundraisers that could not rival what I saw to the tune of 2008 hip hop music.  My mother told me later that a very old member of the family and I mean old told her, I sure did like that music.  Is that OK?  My mother said yes it’s OK to like Hip Hop.

I thought the children hollering 2008 2009 was just a thing until I was listening to talk radio and I heard the host talk about old school rap, and how good it was and how those were the good old days and he went into a long tirade on how hip hop ws so awful now.  As I said in a previous paragraph old school rap for me always made me think of teenage pregnancy and drive by shootings and when I thought of pregnant teenagers it was teens at the age of twelve so I was literally flipping out when I heard someone referring to those days as the good old days.  I’m thinking to myself that I know I did not listen to old school rap but I do listen to some hip hop now and have the hip hop stations as presets on the radio and if I hear anything that I don’t like or think my children should not hear [like the discussions of lollipops] I change the station.   I tried to call the station to express my disbelief and set the record straight that those old school rap days were not the good old days, those were the days women did not listen to rap unless they had on long shorts,  a team shirt, tennis shoes, and socks on.  Honestly women who wore normal clothes did not listen to rap and we thought women who listened to that stuff were gay, and they were Queen Latifah just married a woman.

Old School Rap outside of Sugar Hill was just not a cultural revolution in my life.  I will admit that it did lay a foundation for hip hop but it is not hip hop and for old school rappers to call their music Hip Hop is absolutely postivley ridiculous. It’s rap period.

The problem of rap versus hip hop was compounded for me when I went to the Dekalb County Blues and Jazz Festival for I think two days straight.  It was awesome!  There was music from all generes.  There was even a white guy there who played the “Star Spangled Banner” like Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock.  Suddenly the MC of the event introduced the winner of the youth talent show.  He was a Hip Hopper and too me he was awesome he was throwing in various instrumental genres, rock, soul, R&B.  He was totally awesome. When it was over I screamed and hollered and clapped.  I looked around I was one of a few clapping.  I looked around and noticed that the people around me were just a little bit but not a lot older than me and did not like that song.  I felt embarassed and sat down.

I stayed and had a good time.  I stayed until after Whodini who was a pretty good DJ he bagan with reggae and hyped up the crowd and that was good. Some point prior to his coming on some rapper had come on and called his old school rap hip hop.  The one thing I did know about these generes from only being a member of popular culture is rap is not hip hop.  Oh Lord I thought he’s out of touch!  In any event suddenly the place started to fill up with men, packs of men, more men, more men more men what “any” Southern girl will tell you that we like.  Suddenly the people on stage began to rap, I felt ten years old again, I felt claustrophobic.  I had to get out of there, I did not even bother to take my chair or my cooler they could have it and walked out.  I was not a rap fan then and I am not an old school fan now I thought.  My brain started to holler 2008 2008 2008, heck even 2009.  I hurried to my car amped up Amy Winehouse singing ”Put it in the Box” “Put it in the Box”, and to this day I’m mad at whoever turned the crank on the Jack in the Box that made old School Rap attempt to make a comeback at the Festival.    The only thing I have to say is Put Them in the Box, crazy glue the Lid, put them in a time capsule and shoot them to outer space.   HA HA

I have an older friend who was like a sister to me when I was younger she brought me a Laquer music box from Japan that plays Sukiyaki by  a Taste of Honey when I was 10, bought me my first designer jeans and really was a mentor to me, she and her mother.  However the name she hollers now and I know she has to be at least 47 is “Luda”.  I did not even know this was a nick name for Ludicrous until she made a visit to my house, from her home in  Southern California and during some discussion I don’t know what we were talking about hollered Luda, I wish I could get his phone number.  Luda had better watch out her youngest child is three and her oldest 23.

I was prompted to write this because the same talk show host insists the days of old school rap were the good old days.  I want to emphasize that those years were not the good old days.  They were not the good old days because those were the days of HIV and AIDS.  Those were not the good old days because it was normal for a twelve year old girl to get pregnant.  Those were not the good old days because all we could hear on the news was information about Drive By Shootings.  Those were not the Good Old Days because Crack Babies were being born at record numbers.   These are the greatest and greater days.  These are the Rainmaker Days. It’s Rainen. I’m make it rain in the club now.

Mattel head of the Doll Mafia (MGM must pay Barbie 100 Million Dollars)

In Uncategorized on August 30, 2008 at 8:28 am

Several days ago I heard that Mattell  had won bratz, barbie , mattell a suit against MGM the maker of the popular seres of Bratz dolls.   To say that I was shocked is a light way of putting my reaction to Mattel’s lawsuit against the beloved dolls, videos and books that stress a bratz way of life creative, nonconventional, and realistic.

Mattel won 100 million dollars from MGM by stating that the creator of the Bratz dolls came up with the idea while working for Mattell.  I suppose this goes somewhere in the non-compete clause where you agree to not compete with your employer while working there and for a number of years after.  I am not sure of the wording but the two dolls are so dramatically different it is questionable in my mind whether MGM competed with Barbie or just created a totally different idea that happened to be a toy and happened to be a doll.

The Bratz filled in a missing component in American culture and World culture that was missing, and that was the belief that one had to be a white to be beautiful.  Sure they had black Barbies, Black Barbies with Chocolate icing on them but it was always understood that Blonde Barbie was the queen and there would be no other competitors, everyone came in second.  A Barbie only society was and is like a reinforcement of shall I say it white supremacy.  MGM however changed the rules of Game, along came the Bratz with their flirtatious looks, their racial varieties, their attitudes and their international worldview.  Furthermore, for those people into doll studies, it no longer became the color of the skin that mattered but the features also, my daughter who is black looks like the Asian Jade and on the Bratz video game plays as the character Jade.  While color became important the Bratz series has presented a multidimensional options for young girls and parents appreciative of the Bratz.

With the Bratz, the Doll world no longer has one queen but has suddenly become a democracy without a president only a congress.  Barbie has been sent to Buckingham as a ceremonial queen, and meanwhile the world has moved on into a good old American Democracy in Bratz land.

The question must be asked in Mattel’s suit of MGM Bratz were their motives pure, did they just wish to say that the MGM capitalized on an idea that they would have used or is this an attempt to maintain a monopoly on the doll industry.  The fact is Barbie does not need MGM to put big lips on a doll, or to give them funky clothes, or a funky attitude.  They have not done this, therefore it is my opinion that Mattell’s motives are only to maintain a monopoly on the doll industry and therefore they should be sued for this.

Translation

“   ‘he words In this club Ehh YeY Hey Hey,’ indicate that someone is saying that this is ludicrous.  You can’t possibly mean have sex in a club , The following words indicate yes, whereever, whenever as well as describe what the singer plans to do with his penis with the women in question, personally I’ve seen the video and the women type casted for the video would not possibly do what’s described unless and a big unless there was an exchange of  money, that type of women in my humble opinion is not going to lay on the floor  in a club and give it away for free, even to Usher, Luda, or -50.   ”

End of Lyrics

I have the following words for Usher Raymond just because you have ruined your life by getting a married women ten years your senior with four children pregnant which lead to the dissolution of her marriage and your marrying her resulting in your first born child and her fifth born child.  Definitely nothing close to a virginal birth for your child, this does not give you the right to sing lyrics that can result in unplanned pregnancies for  young women and responsible young men, I say responsible to indicate that there are some men who if they have sex with a stranger in a club who might give the women  he had sex with his real name, phone number, address, tell her where  he works, and where he was born etc. so that if  the women in question does get pregnant or an STD she knows where to find him.  However, I really don’t believe that this song was written or sung for this type of man.  This song is for men who want to get off and leave and never see the women again and not get caught.  This song is written for men who will give a women a fake name, fake phone number, and fake address.  Finally if the women is dumb enough to have sex in a club with a stranger, she’s probably dumb enough or drunk enough to end up pregnant and or diseased and have no clue as to who the father is of her child or what kind of disease she may have.

Trust me if a young woman wants to know what will get a normal man and I’ve spoken to a lot of woman with wonderful marriages and I am not one of them.  The bottom line from every woman I’ve met with a good long lasting marriage is don’t sleep with a man before you are married.  This is true, I know from experience that if you don’t have sex with a man, if you barely kiss him but continue to date him and be nice to him he will ask you to marry him.  Unfortunately, men if a woman barely kisses you after dating for months , you should not ask her to marry you because the bottom is she does not really like you, and no I did not marry this person because I did not like him.  But it works!!!!!!

Finally I am an Atlantan and this artist hails from Atlanta this is essentially a southern worldview.   This is probably why the majority of men that I’ve dated and the man that I did eventually marry was from California.  Though Snoop Dog is from Southern California and we know it never rains in Southern California, give me a sensual seduction anyday over a roll in a nasty southern corner.  WEST COAST ROCKS

Utah Attorney General Threatens FLDS With Prison “There will be no Underage Marraiges in Utah”

In family, politics, state supreme court decisions on May 31, 2008 at 1:36 pm

Johnny Glines of  KUTV is reporting that the Attorney General of Utah, the seat of Mormons has threatened FLDS with jail time if they bring their illegal activities to Utah.   Flines  Reports that the Attorney General has said the following:

In a live 2NEWS interview at 5 p.m., Shurtleff called Jessop a “liar” and threatened him saying, “we put Warren Jeffs in prison here, and as for the rest of them, we will too.”

“I’ve got a word for Willie Jessop, that lives in Utah, and is defending this, and says that it isn’t going on. He’s a liar,” said Shurtleff. “If you come here to Utah and think you can wed underage girls; you’ve got to think again.”

Furthermore, Jessop, one of the FLDSleaders says the nation is in agreement with their actions of marrying twelve year olds as revealed in pictures of another FLDS leader in an intimate picture with a yonggirl, and DNA tests may confirm that this leader has impregnated four girls when they were between the ages of twelve and fourteen.  Jessop said the following: “Clearly the nation spoke tonight,” said Jessop.  referring to the decision to return the children back to the FLDS ranch.

I am a registered voter and last year I helped to register over  three hundred voters, while I am not allowed to discuss political issues while registering voters.  I seriously doubt that the majority of the folk that I registered  last year support spiritual marriages to young girls, incest, and rape.  I believe the attorney general of Utah, they are liars.

FLDS Ranch Members Accessories to the Crime of Rape, Molestation, and Child Trafficking

In Crime, politicians, politics on May 31, 2008 at 8:14 am

It seems pretty clear to me that the residents of the Zion Ranch are as guilty as HELL as it relates to these young women.  First of all if they were even on the Ranch when Warren Jeffs was separately and at different times marrying two twelves year olds, and two fourteen year olds they are guilty of a crime.  According to Kovach and Johnson of the New York Times,

“Investigators said family marriage records seized in the April raid of the group’s compound, the Yearning for Zion ranchin Eldorado, Tex., suggested that the sect’s leader, Warren S. Jeffs, had “spiritually” wed at least four under-age girls, two of them 14 at the time, the other two 12. “

This seems pretty clear to me that if a whole commune sits back and allows one man to “connect” with four underage children then this is crime.  The argument offered that parents and the courts can give permission for these marriages is bogus.  He’s already married.  Polygamy is illegal. So any other way he connects to these children is rape or statutory rape.  Since the admitted living situation is communal living where on the ranch no child belongs to the parent the belong to the ranch, then when spiritual unions occur on the Ranch then they are all accessories to the crimes of molestation, and rape.

It has been reported that the men of the ranch go away and send money to the ranch for their child brides.  If this is happening across states lines this is trafficking in children.  This is clearly illegal under Federal statutes and I am seriously questioning in my mind whether FLDS receives money from men who want child brides, furthermore the very act of recruiting members who join  and pay for a child bride is human trafficking to me.  I don’t know what the supreme court of Texas calls it but it looks illegal if it’s not.

Finally, in the  FLDS case I am heavily questioning the role of corruption in this case.  I am also aware that the FLDS has threatened political officials with some sort of massive voter takeover with their 300 votes and to overthrow and run the local government out of town which it has been reported they’ve done in other places.  Miguel Bustillo and Nicholas Riccardi of the Los Angelos Times write:

“The town also was abuzz over an anticipated mass voter registration by the FLDS. Hours after the court first ruled against the state, two members of the sect walked into the county clerk’s office and requested 300 voter registration forms, a potentially tide-turning number in a county with 1,800 voters.”

Everyone has the right to vote but when voting is used to intimidate a town because a commune is performing illegal acts.  This is reprehensible.  This is why the town, state, and Federal government must do their jobs in prosecuting these individuals for their acts against women and children.

There is still a big question mark on what the role of corrupt politicians, corrupt judges is. I seriously suspect that certain men in Texas are receiving money or child bride favors for protecting this prostitution/mistress ring.  Furthermore, some media outlets are providing a platform for the FLDS which almost appears to be a commercial for this type of lifestyle.  I even observed on commentator trying to put words in the mouth of a FLDS women he was interviewing when she was about to get caught in a lie.  The lie was no members of the FLDS were not welfare recipients but he helped her clean up this lie.  It was totally awful.  I wonder if higher up in this media organization plan to take a trip to the Zion ranch soon or other FLDS locations and get a spiritual bride that their wife probably does not know about.

1 Cent Baby’s Mamma’s House Burns Down

It’s 50 cent not 1 cent.  Well for me it’s 1 cent.  It is estimated that 1 cent will be worth an estimated 800 million dollars by the end of the year.  Yet he was quibbling over a house that his child and child’s mother lived in.  He does pay child support around 7,000 dollars a month but asked that the mother of his child pay him 4000 dollars rent for the house, Oh wait a minute he’s not 1 cent he’s minus 50 cent.  Cheapy the Cheapskate.  I suppose my children would call him Mr. Krebs!

I Didn’t know R. Kelly Sang The Song “It Wasn’t Me”

In Crime on May 30, 2008 at 9:20 pm

Most People are familiar with R. Kelly and his ways.  We all know the Aliyah story he met her when she was twelve, supposedly mentored her and married her at fifteen.  The prior statements are facts that can not be denied.  The statements also indicate to me that R. Kelly has a proclivity and a love of young girls.  When a graphic video surfaced several  years ago of Kelly with a thirteen year old child I don’t think anyone in the universe doubted that it was Kelly in the video.

However I have often laughed at those public service announcements that say be careful what you do on the Internet because it might give you a reputation and destroy your life, my laughter has always occurred because even if someone has a million pictures and you say it’s not you, in my opinion there is no way anyone can say it is, especially as it applies to still photos.  Well Kelly has used my logic he says it’s not him.  If I were on the jury you would have to prove to me without a reasonable doubt that it was him on the tape based on what I’m hearing and reading this may not be possible for several reasons.

First of all when laughing at those be careful what you do commercials,  the thought did occur to me that you are doomed if your friends or enemies are with you in this picture they can attest to the fact that you appeared in the photo or the video then it’s sort of hard to say; “It wasn’t me”.  According to several sources Kelly’s defense is it wasn’t me, the alleged then thirteen now 23 year old woman is also alleging that it wasn’t her, but the there were three people in the video and the third person is claiming to have been in the video with R. Kelly and the under aged girl.

According to the Chicago Sun Times,:

“Earlier this month, the Sun-Times reported the Atlanta woman would testify she had a three-way sexual encounter with Kelly and the underage girl who allegedly appears in the videotape.”

This according to my theory would mean guilty for R. Kelly.  However R. Kelly maintains  “it wasn’t me”.  He’s not the one on the video.  Unfortunately, according to an article in the Washington Post written by  AP Reporter MICHAEL TARM,  one of the main points of the case that the man on the tape could not be R. Kelly because the man in the tape did not have a mole on his lower back, was struck down by an FBI witness who clearly found a mole on the adult male in the video.

Well all may not be lost for R. Kelly, some are reporting that the mysterious man that kept the Atlanta woman from testifying in the video may admit that he’s the man in the video.  THIS PART IS Just a Rumour I heard on the radio but forgot the web link.

In any event I will keep a list of links on this post to the case.

Polygamy, An Ode to Gemini, Bad House Keeping, and a Challenge to Feminists and Feminism

In family, politics, state supreme court decisions, the zodiac on May 30, 2008 at 7:15 am

I have tried to avoid blogging about the Texas Polygamy case, the case where 400 children were taken from the FLDS ranch.  I am far from the perfect parent, to emphasize this, let me inform you of what’s going on in my house these days.

My daughter is refusing to get her hair combed.  Every time I touch it she screams and runs away.  Well yesterday I had to take care of an urgent matter with a friend and I had to take my daughter and her uncombed hair out the house.  I noticed upon her getting in the car that she had not put her shoes on, and I said a silent thanks to God that she would not try to get out of the car because she had no shoes.  Well I was the one who ended up with egg on my face yesterday, as we were waiting for my friend to take care of her issue, my daughter hops to the front of the car and begs me to go into the very nice building that we are in front of.    She has tied matching bath towels to the bottom of her feet and says she’s made herself some shoes.  At this point I am afraid that she’s going to bolt for the door and run in the place in all of her nappy headed bath toweled feet glory. I say no honey and tell her your hair is not combed, and bath towels on your feet are not shoes.  At this point I think it is a good time to mention that the lady at the local hair supply place has given my daughter the name of Flavette after Flavor Flav because after leaving Ross department store with a fluffy pink bathrobe one day, my daughter put it on, refused to take it off and walked around pompously, earning her the name of Flavette.  I managed to keep her from running in the building but I knew when we were about to stop for gas that I would not be able to keep her out of the convenience store.  She ran in.  I tried to wait it out so I could pretend she did not belong to me, but she took too long and I became worried so I went into the gas station to check on her and saw her at the counter.  I was very tempted to go to the back of the store and pretend that I had not seen her but relented and stood in line to pay for the gas and hoped that she would ignore me.  She was having a discussion with the cashier and told him she did not have enough money.  The man hollered did any one havethirty-four cents that they could give this little girl.  I immediately piped up with she’s mine and refuses to get her hair combed, was told not to come in the store with bath towels on her feet and is not allowed to get anything.  It must not have soaked in, a lady said I have 34 cents. I repeated myself.  My daughter left the store with no candy, and when we finally did get home she asked me to comb her hair. In addition my daughter’s main goal in life is to be a movie star she was born on Clint Eastwood’s and Brooke Shield’s Birthday, which was sort of ironic because Clint is my former husbands favorite movie star and he was fanatical about Clint and football.  Football season was what clinched the fact that we no longer wanted to be together.  In any event, my daughter was born on Clint Eastwood’s birthday, May 31 and this makes her a Gemini.  So you can get a clue of what I’m dealing with, the following celebrities are Geminis:Naomi Campbell, Angelina Jolie, Sir Laurence Olivier,  Stevie Nicks,  Henry Kissenger,  Josephine Baker, Tupac Shakur, Pam Grier, Marilyn Monroe, John Rivers, Prince, Miles Davis, Austin Powers, Sandra Bernhard,  Lisa Left Eye Lopes,  Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown, Donald Trump, Johnny Dep, and Paula Abdhul, I think I ‘ve named enough names for you to understand why the attendant at the local gas station asks me every time she sees my daughter is she still bad, because my daughter in her younger days used to manage to lay out in the middle of the outdoor gas station screaming, hollering, and kicking if I did not buy her a treat. Yes in her younger days she was bad, picnics where I hoped to network were spent prying my screaming daughter away from the attractions, because well the picnic was over and the people were trying to pull down the kiddie attractions.  In any event she is bad, she is a BADDDDDDDDDDDASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSlike the list of Geminis on the list above.  Finally she is also a literal genius in math and language arts. She scores at the top of the percentiles.

I also hesitated to write about the FLDS because I am an awful housekeeper.  I can’t get anyone to do anything in my household.  Since our dishwasher decided to die I hand wash dishes, we have the circulon brand of pots, it’s the starter set but let me tell you circulon is much better than calphalon, I bought a calphalan muffin pan and baking sheet and after about four uses calphalan was no longer non-stick. I have had cirulon for about 6 months now and it’s still amazing.   In any event we have the circulon starter set which has two sauce pans a little one and a big one.  The other day I washed the larger sauce pan three times because every time I washed it my son would come and use it, it’s like he was waiting for me to wash the pan so he could mess it up.  Finally I just gave up trying to cook what I was going to cook a twenty five cent box of macaroni and cheese with tuna and peas dumped in it with plenty of butter and pepper.  I say all this to say I am a terrible house keeper. However my son is a good son, he is a sagittarius so he displays the male Sagittarius unique characteristic of ass kissing and being an ass-hole at the same time, in any event several famous male sagittarians are Brad Pitt, Donahue, John F. Kennedy Jr, Jay-Z, Bruce Leee, and Samuel Jackson.

I hope it is understood why I would hesitate to discuss the FLDS case.  I have tried to ignore it but the final straw was seeing a photo on the Nancy Grace Show of their leader marrying and deeply kissing a girl that appeared to be no more than ten  at their apparent wedding.    I thought how disgusting I just knew that the Texas Supreme court was going to overturn a lower court decision to return the children back to the ranch; but they did not and are sending the children back to the ranch with the understanding that some limitations can be imposed and decisions can be made on a case by case basis.  The problem for me is that Jetts is a deity to them and when your deity is shown molesting a child, this must follow that FLDS members have no problem molesting children since this is the man they worship, he’s on the wall of their compound.  Children are therefore in an inherently dangerous situation by being there. This view is fully expored in this CNN Commentary  by Sonny Hoskins.

Furthermore the Supreme Court ruling that prepubescent children can be returned to their families is just not in line with current law which states that child sex offenders can not be around children period.  If they will molest an 11 year old with her period it’s also likely that they will molest a womanly looking seven year old.  It is my strong opinion that the children should  not be returned unless the women agree to move off of the ranch and not leave town and this is a condition I think the Supreme Court will uphold as a condition of their getting their children back.

My big question in this issue is”Where are the Feminists who say they work for women’s rights?”; Where is Gloria Allred, the big time Feminist?  Are we only to see them when it involves an abortion issue, a woman hollering rape against a celebrity or a big name figure.  For me personally this is a feminist issue, one that they should be financing, sending attorneys to and watching very closely.  What happens with FLDS will affect all women and girls.  It will also determine the direction our country is taking in regards to women’s rights.  FDLS is fundamentally arguing that a woman does not have the right to her own body, her own Chasity and can be given to a man at any time.  FDLS is arguing that women and girls are at the mercy of men and have no option and choices.  Feminism will be a failure if feminists do not step in to make sure that young girls are protected and not left bare foot, pregnant, trapped and option-less in a world with so many possibilities.   This is a case where people who call themselves feminists should descend on the state of Texas and provide financing to take this case to the U.S Supreme Court if nescessary.  This case prevents far more of a threat to women then the right to an abortion.  The FLDS case threatens every woman in so many fundamental ways, such as the right to even have a child belong to you, the right to property , the right to vote etc.

****According to the Chicago Tribune A state stutute can not be appealed to the U.S. Supreme court; I am sort of questioning this because some of the men putting the children in danger live beetween states, therefore making it a Federal issue; but I am not an expert.

Could McCain have a Woman VP up his sleeve After All Former HP President Fiorina Firmly in McCain and Republican Camp

In politicians, politics, presidential race on May 28, 2008 at 9:02 am

According to Bloomberg, Carly Fiorina, the former HP President with degrees in Medieval Studies who launched HP from what was known publicly as largely a printer only company to a multidimensional technological leader ranked second in technology; that still reaps extreme profits from her leadership years later;  is officially called the

“chairwoman of Victory ‘08, the public face of, and force behind, Republican efforts to win the White House. “

While this is a great position and should make the democrats sweat.  It seems that John McCain might be better served by choosing Fiorina to be his running mate.  While Fiorina would bring her touted experience and success as President of HP, she also brings an experience and exposure to the international world early in her life .  While some say that Barack Obama’s Kenyan background and early life in Indonesia prepares him for the Presidency; Fiorina’s  attendance at five high schools across the world and Stanford Education would make her experiences a formidable vice presidential candidate with experience in the culture of foreign nations.

In addition Fiorina’s experience with gender issues would provide a healthy outlet for Clintonites disappointed because Clinton did not receive the democratic nomination,  my first exposure to Fiorina’s unique approach to gender issues was by reading her commencement speech to the predominately Black College and University Nort Carolina A&T; she recounts in the speech how she dealt with being told by colleagues that she could not attend a meeting with a client because their meeting with him was customarily held at a strip club.  Fiorina recounts the following:

“In those early days, I was put in a program at the time called the Management Development Program. It was sort of an accelerated up-or-out program, and I was thrown into the middle of a group of all male sales managers who had been there quite a long time, and they thought it was their job to show me a thing or two. A client was coming to town and we had decided that we were getting together for lunch to introduce me to this customer who was important to one of my accounts. Now the day before this meeting was to occur, one of my male colleagues came to me and said, “You know, Carly, I’m really sorry. I know we’ve had this planned for a long time, but this customer has a favorite restaurant here in Washington, D.C., and they really want to go to that restaurant, and we need to do what the customer wants, and so I don’t think you’ll be able to join us.”
“Why is that?” I asked. Well, the restaurant was called the Board Room. Now, the Board Room back then was a restaurant on Vermont Avenue in Washington, D.C., and it was a strip club. In fact, it was famous because the young women who worked there would wear these completely see-through baby doll negligees, and they would dance on top of the tables while the patrons ate lunch. The customer wanted to go there, and so my male colleagues were going there. So I thought about it for about two hours. I remember sitting in the ladies room thinking, “Oh God, what am I going to do? And finally I came back and said, “You know, I hope it won’t make you too uncomfortable, but I think I’m going to come to lunch anyway.”

Now, I have to tell you I was scared to death. So the morning arrived when I had to go to the Board Room and meet my client, and I chose my outfit carefully. I dressed in my most conservative suit. I carried a briefcase like a shield of honor. I got in a cab. When I told the taxi driver where I wanted to go he whipped around in his seat and said, “You’re kidding right?” I think he thought I was a new act

In any event, I arrived, I got out, I took a deep breath, I straightened my bow tie, and went in the door – and you have to picture this – I go into the door, there’s a long bar down one side, there’s a stage right in front of me, and my colleagues are sitting way on the other side of the room. And there’s a live act going on the stage. The only way I could get to them was to walk along that stage. I did. I looked like a complete idiot. I sat down, we had lunch.
Now, there are two ends to that story. One is that my male colleagues never did that to me again. But the other end to the story, which I still find inspiring, is that all throughout lunch they kept trying to get those young women to dance in their negligees on top of our table — and every one of those young women came over, looked the situation over and said, “Not until the lady leaves”

Now this is the way to handle such a situation, no law suits, no screaming etc.  She won over the day and had a story to tell that all people could learn from.  This is the type of behavior most women can relate to.  In any event Fiorina would definitely serve to appease the radical Clintonites.

However, she would also serve to ally the fears of people who are concerned about John McCains age.  If anything happened to John McCain she would be ready to lead on day one.  A Fiorina Vice Presidency would also take the so called high end voters who are voting for Barack Obama.  While Firorina probably would not bring many black voters to the table, she has shown a commitment to diversity while President of HP by initiating a wide range of diversity programs.

Clinton Donor’s Keeping the Faith in Her Candidacy

In Democratic Primary, Hillary Clinton, barack obama, democrats, politics, presidential primary on May 28, 2008 at 5:02 am

Clinton lost me after the RFK comment.  While there are several reasons that she could have made the remarks, one being it had such a profound effect on her when she was twenty years old it’s constnatly in the back of her mind, and it is a unique case on terms of what to do.   I still believe the comment was a wishful thinking gaffe.  Obviously the Clinton Donors must be engaging in wishful thinking according to the San Francisco Chronicle, donors are still raising money for Hillary Clinton.  They hope that the rules will be broken.

You know I have had sympathy for Hillary Clinton’s cause and do believe that the voters of Michigan and Florida should have been heard.  However, if voters are not allowed to vote in either state I beleive it should remain status quo.  The bottom line is if the voters really wanted a revote they would have demanded one and the excuse that Barack Obama and his suopporters were not open to a revote should not have detered anyone.  This would have been the fair thing to do and maybe it can be done but the voters should be heard in the right manner.  However barring a revote the rules shoulstand as is.  I weebled and wobbled on this issue however I remebered a tic tac toe game that I played with my  daughter when whe was in first grade.  I made the mistake of showing her how to win first and then olaying tic tac toe with her.  When two  people know how to play this game usually noone wins.  However my daughter came up with a new rule so she could be the winner she took her pencil and drew a C with three of her X moves and said I won.  I made a C.  For several weeks we would play and she would continue to make a C and I would tell her that she had not won but she refused to hear me.  Finally, I redused to play with her because of this she did not care she preceeded to play with herself after that.  As for me when it first happened I thought “wow” if I would have known that another way of winning was to make a c between the boxes I may have considered playing that way then again I may not have played at all.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about this tic tac toe game and I know realize that though the rules made by Dean are stupid.  Each candidate agreed to the rules  and prepared their campaign by the rules and to change them would be cheating.

In D.C. Never say “If I go down, I’m taking you down with Me” We all know what happened to the D.C. Madam and The Jesse Jackson Presidential Campaign Manager, Former DNC Chairman, and Clinton Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, “They’re Dead”

In politicians, politics on May 24, 2008 at 11:42 am

We are all familiar with the D.C. Madam and her California home based business of hooking up  high end prostitutes who went on to do much better things, these women engaged in the ultimate form of networking direct deposit and got high level jobs as a result of working for the D.C. Madame.  Unfortunately it appears as if the politicians are engaged in some sort of moral battle to out each other as much as possible as it involves sexual indiscretions.  In any event, the D.C. Madame uttered the words if I go down  every ones  going down.  If this would have happened everyone would have figured out that telling their daughter to be moral and good is just not the key to success anymore and since  I have a daughter I’m still trying to figure out what the rules are.  As a young woman I gave it away for free I am sad to say but evidently if I would have sold it and or hoed it I may be  where I want to be today.  In any event the D.C. Madame threatened to out everyone if she was found guilty, she was found guilty and while awaiting sentencing was found hanging in her garage from an apparent suicide, never mind that a former call girl of hers was found dead from an apparent suicide also, and the Biggest never mind of all, if it was suicide she would have definitely named names before she jumped off of that chair, she would have called ABC, CNN, FOX etc.  Furthermore after her year or two in jail she could have written an awesome book that would have set her up for life.  This woman did not commit suicide. The names murdered her.

Another famous tattler, I was not aware of his threats until I looked them up today but Ron Brown the former Commerce Secretary under Clinton threatened to out Clinton for his roles in various deals if he went down.  According to the sources I’ve read four days after making these threats Ron Brown was dead.  Prior to today, I had heard rumours of assassination but I had not delved any further.  My knowledge given to me by my father  who is retired from the Air Force is that everyone on Andrews and Bowling Air Force Base knew that there was a big blow up by the normal pilot of the plane Ron Brown was scheduled to take.  The pilot absolutely refused to fly Ron Brown on that Mission.  He even appealed to someone of a higher rank to get him out of flying and finally he just said that he was sick.  Finally I am inserting the folowing links for folks who want to read a little more about the Brown assassination.

Memo To Michelle Obama: Toughen Up Sweetie Chron.commons | Chron.com – Houston Chronicle

In Democratic Primary, The PO PO, The Police, barack obama, democrats, presidential race, republicans on May 20, 2008 at 9:27 am

Chron.commons Chron.com – Houston Chronicle

The above link is an opinion article that discusses Obama’s defense of his wife Michelle on GMA regarding the Republican ads repeating Michelle’s words that she was not proud of her country. Coming from Texas it is truly a memo. Chicago plays tough but when Texas plays tough the whole world hears about it. The Obama’s really need to toughen up a lot, the language Obama used in the interview was very much dictator like, ie. “I will not tolerate” could have literally been the words “off with their heads” “to the dungeons” they insulted my wife. Obama may speak to people within his campaign like this, but the last time I checked powerful people did not have the power to send an FBI detail on folks, call the police on them, sic the NSA on them, or do various actions that presidents have the power to do because they felt insulted by a commercial or the press. If he does this he will only be mimicking the corrupt regimes that aleady exist on a continent where the majority of heads of state are black.

If he does this I want every caucasion person to know that this man is not a descendant of a slave, he does not carry the same pain and the same blood as the majority of blacks of the diaspora meaning blacks that were brought here as slaves. Furthermore the majority of these diaspora blacks be they living in the United States, Jamaica, Haiti, Brazil or other places where slavery was once legal can not be blamed if Obama starts to show tyranical behvior once he becomes President. It is sad to say but Obama could return to Kenya now and be the President there if he so chose. None of us African hybrids of the Americans have a country to return to that we can be president of, this is our country and we have voluntarily give up our birthright to a native African. So don’t blame us if you feel a little likc you’re in a Puppet regime if and when Obama is elected. It’s in his blood.

“Why did Babs Came Clean About a Thirty Year Affair” The Obama Factor

In Race, barack obama, democrats, politics on May 19, 2008 at 10:10 pm

One day I was speaking to a friend or maybe a former friend who happens to be an Obama supporter on the phone.  With many people I speak with these days it has been my policy not to speak about the presidential race especially with my elderly mother who is an avid Obama supporter who calls the campiagn on the phone giving them tips, tells her brother to email the campaign because I will not, and is literally ready to come to blows when anyone even says a hint negative about Obama.  To emphasize  how sensitive she is, one of the news shows did a segment about the drug border war in Mexico and she claimed the news media was picking on Obama.  I had to pointedly tell her that they had not mentioned Obama’s name ,and that the war was so bad that college students who usually went to Mexico for spring break could not go because the war was so bad, the net result is according to her they were still picking on Barack Obama.  I have found myself having to turn the news off for dear old mom because anytime “Obama” is criticized she starts screaming at the TV and blows her blood pressure up.

In any event the above description was a vast divergence from what I want to talk about.  I was speaking to another Obama supporter who is just as obsessed with Obama, and I asked her a question about Barabara Walters.  I asked her the following, “Do you think Barbara Walters came out with the information about her affair at this time to imply that Barack Obama was not being faithful to Michelle Obama and could be involved in an interracial relationships.  Well the women called me the devil and hung up on me.

However, personally I have wondered why Barbara Walters chose such a time to come out with this information. For me personally, she’s saying Obama can’t possibly be being faithful to Michelle Obama, she’s just window dressing.  However, from the looks of New York politics today.  The joke may honestly be on Barbara.  It is pretty evident in the body language displayed by Elliott Spitzer and his wife that they were in love with each other but Elliott just could not keep his   hands out of the cookie jar.  It is evident that the newest Governor of New York has never kept his hands out of other women’s panties and does not intend to.  As for Michelle and  Barack Obama, I don’t know how Obama feels about her because I have seen too many cases where the man Barack Obama who would be and probably will be president literally grovels like a dog at the feet of his Michelle.  It really makes me think that she puts on the leather, cuffs him to the bed and pulls out the whip.  Despite the other rumours I really don’t think there is much room in this relationship for adultery.  Barack Obama seems so sanctimonious I would really be surprised if he were committing adultery, almost as surprised as the whole of New York was to find out that Spitzer was committing adultery.

Back to “Babs”

Your Senator did get a divorce and did not have an overwhelming desire to track you down and make you his bride.  The fact that you have written about this incident frankly puts you in the category of the now Cambridge Scholar Monica Lewinsky, but she was between 18 and 21 this is her excuse for telling Linda Tripp that she had a carnal relationship with the President of the United States.  What’s your excuse Barabara for revealing an affair that put you in the category of spitzers prostitute, or the now sitting Governor’s of New York probably over ten mistresses.  Hush I know what it is it’s a slight case of Alzheimer’s, somewhere I read that you talked about his handsome mulatto looks, maybe just maybe when you are relating this affair you see Obama, Barack Obama and who know’s in your alzie dreamstate you might knock on his door one night.

Obama Takes Credit for passage of the Bipartisan Farm Bill but he was absent from the vote In addition: “Would the Media Please stop the Crotch Video of Barack Obama”

In Democratic Primary, Race, barack obama, democrats, politics, presidential primary on May 16, 2008 at 5:11 pm

Defying President Bush, Senate Passes Farm Bill – New York Times

I could have sworn that Obama mentioned the farm bill as shall I say one of the accomplishments that he supported. The status of Barack Obama during the farm vote was absent according to this NewYork Times article.  Obama waxed hard about his support of the rural folks through the passage of this bill, how they deserved it, how great they were etc. and HE WAS NOT EVEN THERE.  These are the antics that Momma Michelle had to deal with when he had to pay off a million ticket that he had gotten at least fifteen years ago when he was attending Harvard Law School.   They were paid just before he ran for office. Teenage College lies and untruths or lets just say truthiness.

The other issue surrounding Barack Obama is that he used the word sweeie.  This is not as irritating as the fact that the media keeps giving us crotch shots of barack and focusing on his behind.  “Enough Already”
